With Shrek 4D set to close this Sunday at Universal Studios Hollywood, many may not know that the theater has been home to seven shows over the course of nearly 40 years.

As DreamWorks Animation is part of the Comcast/NBCUniversal empire, it's time Universal leverage its newly owned intellectual properties like Disney did with Marvel and Star Wars. The funny thing is that Shrek 4d hasn't been on the news about the closure as much as Disney's Great Movie Ride and Ellen's Universe of Energy.

A pretty interesting find... a press kit from 2003 for Universal Studios Hollywood and specifically for the Shrek 4D attraction. If you have some extra cash, this would make a great souvenir.
