A variety article also indeed confirms that Soundstage 28 will be razed for future "theme park expansion" as well as the 90-year-old soundstage building being right next door to Transformers and that being "too noisy."  I have a gut feeling this will indeed be the future Diagon Alley.  As the Starway is the only way for guests to get between the Upper to Lower Lots, there is no doubt Universal will want to add the Hogwarts Express to shuttle guests in between the Upper and Lower lots in a more artistic and fun way as Hogsmeade is rising next door to Shrek in the Upper Lot.  The Soundstage 28 could easily be repurposed into Gringotts as the soundstage is already bigger than Transformers next door.  They are also building a new structure next to Mummy, which I think could be a relocation of the current "Tomb Treasures" store, which is across, which could be repurposed into London/ King's Cross Station.  The current area of the lower lot where Panda Express and Ben and Jerry's are besides that whole hodgepodge of small paths are pretty desirable to raze, since they simply do not fit into Univeral's new vision of a "theme park".  That whole area, if cleared, which is directly across from the current Soundstage 28, could potentially provide enough room for a Diagon Alley/ Carkitt Market and Knockturn Alley.  I took IU's photo of an aerial view of Soundstage 28 and overlayed it for how they could potentially squeeze Diagon Alley into the Lower Lot.

Yeah we are already discussing this in a few places.

Diagon Alley is absolutely impossible in that location. 10000% impossible. That location is squeezed right in awkwardly between the tram route and Transformers. It'll be enough room for a new Transformers sized attraction but that's it. Even with half the lower lot cleared, no way in living hell would Diagon Alley fit, let alone the massive Gringotts building. Absolutely impossible.

Welcome to the forums though! Haha :)
