Stage in front of the Mummy

Yesterday while I was at Universal they were putting a stage up in front of the mummy. It was right beside the lockers. Anyone know what this is for? Is it for macys holiday parade maybe?

If I had to guess it's for a private event. both parks are rented out tonight

It would be for a private event. When we have a party in New York, that is usually the location of the DJ.
