We are joined by Seth Kubersky of the Unofficial Guide to Universal Orlando to discuss the latest edition of his guide; how it deals with the ongoing pandemic, and his thoughts in general on the Universal Orlando Resort, as well as Mardi Gras 2021.

Really enjoy your podcasts but logged in for the first time in a while to touch on your point RE Disney vs Universal’s handling of employment. Universal did do an admirable thing keeping on as much staff as possible while the parks were closed, but did so at reduced wages/salaries. Meanwhile, Disney employees were able to collect unemployment (which was massively inflated across the country) on furlough while maintaining their benefits. Then both companies saw multiple rounds of mass layoffs once the parks re-opened...Disney’s number was bigger/more publicized but also coming from a proportionately bigger company.

Not agreeing or disagreeing either way...but I’ve rarely seen this^ perspective mentioned when locals discuss the issue.

In any case, thanks for continuing to create content, even though I imagine it’s a lot harder right now!
