Or we could also get official meet and greets with Harry, Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore, Hagrid, and Voldemort. Now THAT would make the fans go crazy.

I don't think JKR would ever approve of any form of full on M&G's with the characters, especially considering we are going to get the new series beginning next year.

Yeah, it's been explicitly clarified numerous times that those types of meet and greets aren't something they're interested in.

Call me crazy, but after going through Fallout, I think it come to FFN.

Think about it: The rooms are big enough to support a group, and you could easily tweak it in a way that would be story-driven. Just strip the horror elements and have a PG-version of Fallout by following Lucy to get a plot device from the grocery store.

I don’t think it’s outrageous to have this at FFN considering Ghostbusters would also be an IP ripe for this event and that was featured at HHN. Not to mention they can save a ton of money by just reusing the sets.

Part of me wonders if the reason why they were able to spend so much on Fallout was so they could “double dip” into FFN?

Seems very plausible when you put it that way, and it'd be a Game IP getting a walkthrough. Could definitely see it happening.

USH will be having a panel at LACC, by John Murdy.

For context, FFN2025 used LACC as the kickoff point for the 2024 convention. Might be good to keep this panel in consideration, as they might also have a FFN booth alongside.

Here is a look at the Universal Fan Fest Nights booth at the Los Angeles Convention Center - LA Comic Con located in the South Hall at booth 1054 this weekend! @unistudios LACC

Last years booth for consideration.

Just found out that HHN's Chainsaw Man: The Chaos also stayed undubbed. Really hoping it was only because of a likely last minute addition from FFN's success, but man, it ain't helping my fears that they might not ever dub future USJ shows being brought to USH. Really hope the dub crowd complains enough for them to find a way to make them work. :(

I want dub, but we are in the era of everyone cutting costs

If it happens cool but I bet even if it was a One Piece show or even dragonball it would be subbed...

I hear ya, but dubbing costs money. When they have shot their wad on FNAF and Fallout, they don't really have any budget leftover for this unfortunately.

Am I the only one who doesn't really care that it's subbed...? I mean, I get it, you don't wanna read during a theater attraction like this but I mean. Anime dubs are largely not very good and for me often take something I'd enjoy and make it feel cringe and unnatural. I think it's really fun that we're just getting straight ports of USJ shows. I understand why you'd want them dubbed of course, I'm just expressing my own opinion. It would be nice if they could rotate every show, but that wouldn't really work practically.

I think context is also important. If it was say, a live stunt show that'd be in a external space where subtitles are hard to see, then dubbing feels practical given the context of scale, but for imports of shows pre-existing? Until we get shows made for FFN, I don't think this is a problem.

I mean to each there own but its not the 90s any more

I have not watched once Dub Since Full Metal Brotherhood be that bad

Naruto first season (even then it was more him saying the catch phrase too much) is the last anime I can think of here they were kind of bad with it or the 4 Kid One Piece but those long gone

Chainsaw Man, JJK, Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, My Hero and its Spin off, Black Butler. Black Clover are all recent Animes I've watch and no issues at all

If I want to read thats what the Manga is for

The shows are fine as is but none fans would rather them be dubbed....it helps jokes land better makes it more fun to watch...like literally in Chainsaw man they have the lights out out but the screen has dubbed words on it...lol

I understand different preferences, but I'm afraid you lost me at generalizing dubs like that. As Jerrod said, these aren't the 90s or 4Kids days anymore, and you might as well not learn Japanese if not understanding something is what keeps a line of dialogue from theoretically being "cringe". Not to mention that I've heard people who understand both languages say that they're not that much different on how over the top they can get when the scenes call for it.

And even so, there's been different anime over the past decade or so that are known for their stellar English dubs, like FMA Brotherhood (like Jerrod also mentioned), Death Note, Kill La Kill, One Punch Man (honorable mention to JoJo's since that might be my own personal bias), and especially Dragon Ball to where any internationally released video games for it consistently get dubbed, and a My Hero Academia game got one post-launch. Meanwhile, other franchises like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure aren't so lucky with tie-in material getting dubbed. The list probably goes on, but those are all from the top of my head.

For the record, while I've always preferred dub if available, I've got nothing against subbed, those performances can still be good in their own right, as well as a way to see how it differs from the dub script (which usually try to remain faithful save for if cultural references need to be changed). It can just suck to see the dub cast not get a chance to show off their characters again, especially if certain dubbed roles stand out to someone, which there are plenty of. That's what I saw as a potential advantage of the USJ shows being brought over, and another reason why it feels cheap/sticks out like a sore thumb to see it subbed only, at least to me (FFN felt understandable since it was the first year, but seeing another USJ carryover have the same issue is where it feels concerning).

Bottom line, if we got dubbed, I'd gladly watch both versions at FFN, assuming they rotate them via time intervals.

Now if it's a budget issue, I sorta see it on one hand, but on the other, I feel like it wouldn't kill them to do it, especially if it probably doesn't cost anywhere near as much as set dressing. As a result, kind of makes me hope that keeping Fallout for FFN could potentially allow for it. Even so, considering they already plan to have FFN return in the first place, they must have something at least set aside for it.

If anything, I do wonder if the IPs featured for HHN this year are boosting attendance enough for make back a decent amount. Not sure how much correlation there is, but I saw on ThrillData that the averages wait times for the first few nights so far seem to be higher than at least last year's. Might be too early to tell, but I wanna have hope it's a good sign.

Are you for real right now?

This is not just aimed at a certain fandom sect, this is going for a wider audience than that. I speak and read some Japanese competently enough, and even I think the subtitles on JJK were distracting. The only instance where I'd see subtitles as being necessary would be if there were some Japanese text on a building, sign, what have you that would be too much work to edit. Every other instance, the dub would be preferred, and not to mention much easier on the eyes on a big screen.

And I agree with BriefCasey that anime dubbing has come a LONG way in quality, and the over-the-top performances in a lot of Japanese anime performances can easily be matched in English dubs, and there's a plethora of evidence for this. I think investing in an English dub would have to be a necessary investment for some USJ ports, especially if the IP is big enough (and live shows are another matter). In the context of USJ ports in the DWT, dubs may have to be a required investment in the future. Let the anime fans have their Dub vs Sub arguments in their circles, but I think the greater domestic theme park crowd would be better served with dubs. I know my eyes felt a little strained after having to read most of the subtitles.
