There's been rumors of the hanging man leaving for years. But we won't know that till 2025, cuz he doesn't appear in Haunted Mansion Holiday

He can usually be seen behind Jack in the projected visuals for the stretching room. If he's gone from that, that may be our omen.

Yeah, it makes zero sense that area is sooooo far from the area that could become the Q. Like you would either need to redo the entire side of the land or go underground or upstairs and have a bridge.....

Interestingly the most recent concept art shows people walking into a portal where the sanctum currently is. It’s also the only part of the campus that changed in the new concept art. Someone also pointed out that they could just re route the path to the other side of the sanctum and it wouldn’t be too hard.

I wonder if rumors of that are a factor in the big stock drop off recently.

Also I didn't really post about it because its just rumors but some online are claiming Tomorrowland will be getting redone over the next couple of years

Ralph taking over Buzz, SM and Star Tours would be the same. Mainly just from the sounds of it they want to make the land look better and rumors of one new ride being added (I would assume where Innoventions is)

But until I hear something like Freshbaked talk about it, its really just rumors I think from Autopia going electric

These rumors originated from Five Fires.

FreshBaked is also not a reliable source.

Tomorrowland rumors spring eternal.

Why is Freshbaked not?

He seems to know about things happening and then they happen. I'm not saying he is right 100 percent of the time but from what I've watched he gets things right more then wrong

*shakes you violently and slaps you* Believe me when I tell you that you are just as knowledgeable as FB and FF, solely by the fact that you spend time on this website.

I've never seen any of the vloggers get a scoop that us forum rats haven't already heard.

Unless those Cast Members work in Glendale, I wouldn't count them as reliable sources anyway.

Anyone see an AECOM/TEA 'estimated' theme park attendance report for 2023 year? In the past they usually came out around June. Perhaps I missed it when I was on vacation last month.

interesting timing. Len Testa, owner of Touring Plans, just commented ( wdw magic forums)on the lateness of the TEA report. He said he doesn't have inside info, but his speculation (saying he's putting on his tin hat) is that the 2023 numbers aren't kind to Disney. In another post he said that his info is that the parks (Universal & Disney) have some behind the scenes work, non public, with TEA on the attendance numbers. He also commented that he believes that the numbers, while not totally accurate, are within the single percentage digits of actuals.

Yeah, it's a trade publication, not a newspaper. TEA has a vested interest in telling positive stories about the industry, so it's not much of a surprise that there's "collaboration" on the numbers.

Yes, probably. Example: When the dvd business was big, there was a trade publication that published dvd numbers. They'd report Spiderman X number of dvd's distributed throughout the wholesale, distributors and retail distribution network. Well, those numbers were pretty huge sometimes. What they didn't figure in was what was returned by the retail/wholesalers/distributors after a 60 day sell through window. On some of that stuff, half of everything distributed came back to the Studio because sales were soft. With a relative who was a Studio VP of Home Entertainment, we would discuss the 'real' numbers. The Trade Publication never published real sales, only the original stuff sent out. The returned dvd's were sold to master distributors for around 50 cents each, and I'd buy them for my company for a buck or two. Of course, I had to buy a ton to get those deals...... So, yes, there's probably some collusion/collaboration on those attendance numbers for theme parks with the trade publication, which partly explains Testa's tin hat argument on a possible delay in reporting. Disney's stock is not doing well and they don't need bad numbers to pile on the narrative. With this delay, I'd suspect whatever numbers are reported for Disney, they'll be slightly inflated from what the preliminary TEA numbers were. ........

On another note, thought this post about Jon Landau's passing was interesting as it tagged him as a driving force behind both Pandora at Animal Kingdom and the experience slated for Disneyland. Obviously, that could simply indicate imagineering is porting the Animal Kingdom experience for California ... or, perhaps not.
