Apologize if I am not understanding correctly but the q and a type questions should be in the dark universe general discussion thread right?

Not quite. We’re trying to avoid a constant stream of specific questions, particularly while the park is in employee previews. It opens the possibility of putting employees in a bad spot and, as a result, us in a bad spot. We’re asking for some patience as we navigate this first in our lifetime deal.

So you are trying to squash questions to employees... who are already willingly posting here... by asking people not to ask questions to said people that want to answer them? Yet also the stream of questions could at least be relegated outside of the review thread by your own direction. I'm sorry maybe I'm a bit confused here but this forum is not owned by universal nor run by employees of universal right? How exactly are you responsible for universal employees when this forum has no legal obligation to protect them nor even acknowledge their existence officially at all.

I believe thus far people visiting during previews are actually legally obligated a to not post pictures inside the park. Universal showed a reel around dark universe on social media and some outside merch has gotten revealed outside the park.

Seriously, no. Enough. Be patient and wait. We’re so incredibly close to getting as many ride POV’s as possible, don’t ask anyone else to risk their employment. Be grateful for what info we’ve gotten thus far and be patient for the rest, it’s fast enough approaching.

I mean, we do live in the real world, where Universal can get quite cross with discussions that cross certain boundaries and leak sensitive information (and has in fact done so in the past). Things posted here can absolutely get people fired, and the folks who own/run the site -- all major Universal Parks fans, naturally -- don't want to get on Uni's bad side if we can help it. We can't just plug our ears and tell people to go for it.

This can and will get people fired. It has happened in the past. I am a former TM. Trust me, Universal sees everything.

IU is, by far, the most prominent Universal parks site. Part of that is because IU regulates its info, so as not to cross the lines protected by Universal legal. IU doesn't play the 'internet clicks' game and maintains it's integrity. No reason to change what's not broke.

To be fair, from the ground things will look waayyyyy different. I’m more of the mindset of patience. We just started previews, there will be media previews, and AP previews, we will have content in due time.

Yeah the aerial shots can't outdo the details seen up close and on the ground the way it was meant to be seen.

Can't wait for the rest of you to see for yourselves! :grinning:

The overall tone of the ride is not what I was expecting. It is not a horror ride. It is an action/adventure ride that at times is a bit cartoony.

Can you answer a few questions for those of us with some physicality issues?

1) is there ever a point where you can't figure out if you're upside down (anything disorienting that confuses your brain from distinguishing up from down)?

2) is there any spinning? (Such as Men in Black, or Spider-Man) If so, how many spins would you say?

3) Is there significant g-force when the vehicle moves?

4) Is the overall flow of the ride comprised of constant circular motions like Forbidden Journey? I remember FJ made me feel like I was being constantly pulled back and forth as opposed to flying.

5) Do you ever lay fully on your back, or lay fully flat forward facing the ground?

6) and finally, would you say you spend the majority of the ride experience vertical (upright), or primarily tilted?

Thank you so much in advance for anyone willing to help!! :D

I know I'm late replying to this since I just found the page right now but I am glad that their are no part like the whomping willow don't get me wrong I do want this ride to be somewhat extreme but I am scared out of my life for the whomping willow part since I have a feeling that I might get stuck there when the ride stops which in my opinion would not be fun.

100% agree. I think a lot of people will go into this thinking it’s a milder HHN attraction when really it’s more of an action ride with classic horror characters. I’m still not fully sure if there are scares in the queue like Universal said, but none of the rooms really set up an opportunity for such

To me scares are great but I also wanted it to expand on the classic monster stories that we all know and love it seems like it is doing a great job at that and also getting to experience a ride where Dracula is the main villain and the universal monsters are attacking you seems really fun. If anything I was expecting it to not be as creepy since young teens and kids also are most likely going to ride the ride.
