Yeah, being someone who also would love to see FNaF (as well as several other properties/concepts on the maps), you have to do what you can so you don't get attached to anything on spec maps. Tricky, I know. But it can help avoid a tidal wave of disappointment if things ultimately don't happen.

And as usual, nothing is confirmed until it is or isn't.

My guesses (bit of a double post from the UOR thread, and many of these have been said already):

Thumbs Up: Fallout
Ghost/Spyglass: Scream
Trash Bags: Terrifier
Bloody Film Strip: Horrors of Blumhouse
Security Camera: FNAF [but wouldn't be surprised for it to not be that ultimately]
Doll: Isle of Dolls
Scarecrow Hat: Scarecrows? [I agree with the Crowz point, but note that one of the scarezones where Murder of Crowz was last year has a bird icon - would they put Crowz in a zone and house?]
Unknown IP: Would be interesting if it was LOU2 as a Hollywood exclusive. But who knows!
Terror Tram: Hopefully something original to balance out

Also interesting, looks like (another) confirmation that The Purge: Dangerous Waters will be back again.

I think if FNAF is true, Fallout ain’t coming. Mostly because I don’t see competing Video Game IPs at HHN in the same year.

it’s a curious spec map for sure.

Just base the Fallout house on the TV show.
FNAF: video game IP, Fallout: TV IP, Horrors of Blumhouse: Blumhouse IP

See I thought of that too, and I think it depends on the type of media it is representing.

If Fallout is the Amazon show—which would make sense due to the view ship ratings; then it’d presumably be the show. And I wonder if in the case of FNAF, hypothetically, that a compromise could be made.

Use the collaborations with JHCS to use the molds and schematics from FNAF 1/2, but base it primarily on the two games. Reduce the spoilers of film contents to come with the film in December, while having a plethora of animatronics to use already with the FnAF 1 and 2 animatronic ensemble.

Eh, I still stand by my point. Funny thing is I actually believe Fallout is more likely than FNAF. It’s one or the other IMO.

I don’t want to toot my own horn but I feel pretty good about my predicted lineup. Might be off by one or two houses if this comes to fruition.

I still think the Unknown IP will be Poltergeist but I would prefer Silent Hill. Three video game IPs seems like overkill though.

I think FNAF has a solid shot either this year or next year; because at the end of the day it is going to be Universals's big "Core" modern horror brand. I imagine with the new film; they would want to play up a Exorcist: Believer card and have it be present in a notable way that allows them to push the upcoming sequel in December (and as we've seen with the past two years with The Exorcist: Believer + Weeknd, they aren't shy on being willing to have "Preview" houses).

I do think however the bigger question is on if FNAF is present, if it's the games or the movies.

__

Filling my hat, I think the ghost being examined is The Conjuring. I think Insidious was a massive win for both coasts; and with The Conjuring: The Last Rites releasing right into Primetime September HHN period; Blumhouse and Atomic Monster would be wanting to have what is going to be their "Event" film of the Halloween season get focus.

You could argue that case is met for The Black Phone 2, as that debuts in theaters in October and is part of the Universal branding; but I think there's a scenario where Universal saw the GSATS for Insidious on both coasts and tried to B-Line straight infront of SFCorp signing off legal for getting the IP for HHN.

They'll have more money at the end of the day than SFCorp, enough to where I think they might want to try to strike on the "Supernatural" iron while it's hot.

Would be so happy if it was Scream + Conjuring rather than Scream + M3GAN/Black Phone. Speaking of which, the fact that we still think Scream may be coming, means I'm happy.

I would take M3GAN/Black Phone over Conjuring personally. I know that's an insanely hot take but I love M3GAN

I think a lineup consisting of Scream, The Conjuring, FNAF, Terrifier, and Fallout would be indicative of setting up a message.

For the past four years we haven't exactly had the biggest plays and the most striking hands. Sure, we've had big ones, (The Weeknd, TLOU, Stranger Things 4, A Quiet Place and Chucky); but nothing in the lineup has really been as bombastic and "New" in the terms of house content. It's been repetitive, using pre-existing IP's for the majority of the houses since 2021 to 2024 that have had a presence in the event before. Even in Chucky and ST's case, neither have been strangers to HHN.

I also think a problem has presented itself that with a notable exception (Texas: LOL), for the most part Horror Nights in Hollywood has been...safe. Predictable in the tactics and methods. Me and @Freak talked about it in the past, but I think despite the regurgitated content; 2024 was a striking year in enhancements overall to the quality of the event.

With Fright Fest investing into IP, Universal beginning to tap into a dormant market with Fan Fest Nights, and the past four years in account; I actually think this lineup sets the message clearly: that Horror Nights in Hollywood could be a major statement in the SoCal event space.

Even excluding The Conjuring to this count, Scream; FNAF; Terrifier and Fallout are four massive IP's for the general consumer, and it's going to result in us returning to near constant "Sell Out" nights with the IP interests, and the demographics (assuming if it's accurate and all that). It feels like it'd be a massive shot in the arm, one needed for a long while (assuming it happens like this and we don't see hand-me-downs).

Omg guys... come on. It's literally the most obvious clue on the map. The Scream franchise features Ghostface and is produced by SPYGLASS. How are you guys going to say it's Conjuring or whatever other IP when it's so obviously Scream?
