I agree. While it could theoretically fit in an Epic expansion pad, I don't think the timing is right.

If Wicked gets a land, they'll want to do it relatively soon in the next few years while the films are still fresh in people's minds, and it feels like USF and IOA are going to get major additions before they consider adding another portal to Epic.

While Epic might get a new attraction in the next few years, I'm skeptical that it will get a fully-fledged new land for a while.

I love how Lost Continent has become Isle of Berk 2.0 temporarily to promote the new HTTYD movie.

If anyone is at IOA, they have a Toothless photo-op set up & costumes/props on display.

Pretty sure Lost Continent was set to become Berk at some point; probably just early concept. But still neat to think it has come full circle.

If only there was already a new land in one of Universal's parks where they could promote HTTYD...

That's a sign that they need to get rolling on a Lost Continent replacement as soon as possible.

Kinda disagree here. The land is based on the animated films, and is just debuting this past week. We don’t need the new land to overtly be promoting the film like this area is, there’s a storytelling difference there. At least they’re using dead space for something productive in the summer months. Even though I of course agree in 2026 I’d like to see construction here.

My guess is that if Wicked part 2 smashes box office numbers, it will be only a matter of time before they decide to demo.

Maybe for the Sequel keep having the live action Hiccup in the land, but not now. Different vibes but it’s how I feel for the Holiday’s in 2025 for Epic. Let Epic just be Epic for 6 months then play around with things. It’s all to fresh to be touched with so early on.

Even if part 2 doesn't do well, I'd wager we get something in the parks within the next 5 years. To what scale, I have no idea, but I think it's bound for the parks in some capacity.

If it goes in LC, probably some sort of large scale dark ride. Universal has that patent for infrared trackless now, which sounds like it could lend itself well to a Wicked attraction.

I go back and forth between whether or not Wicked fits better into IOA or USF since USF needs so much help. But IOA needs a show, and Wicked can provide that.

Wicked is a much better fit for IOA anyways IMO. The nature of the park fits it like a glove. Plus I don't know where you could really put it in USF. Pokemon seems all but tipped for Simpsons and I don't think Universal has any desire to really get rid of MIB yet.

I think it feels very redundant (as I think the new movie looks very redundant), but my primary quibble is not so much more HTTYD stuff, it's that they have a vast dead area where they can even do this in the first place.

I want them to get moving soon on permanent things at the original two parks, not stopgaps.
