I'm loving the Switch 2 so far. The open world of MK World is so fun and relaxing. Also Cyberpunk 2077 looks incredible. Also runs so smooth. Very happy so far!

Question. In order to unlock all the outfits do I need to swap out the character I’m playing as, and if so, is there a simple way to do that without leaving free roam?

from what I see, once you unlock your racer and complete courses through Grand Prix; if you aim for the food items it will automatically unlock that specific skin.

Once you do a new Grand Prix, you can pick any skin as the default skin for that. For Free Roam, you have a option in menu to easily change what character you want to go about with while doing whatever you want in the open world.

It’s really easy to switch what character and what cart you want.

Favorite course sofar is Bowsers Castle; with Rainbow Road and Boo Cinema right behind.

And can you get food in free roam? Because I’m not going though Grand Prix with every character just for outfits lol

Got my Switch 2. I’ve transferred everything from my original and wiped it in preparation of giving it to my little cousin.* I’ve got the relevant games updated with their free updates and now I’m downloading the Switch 2 Editions of BotW and TotK then finally Mario Kart World. Right now I can say Mario Odyssey looks absolutely gorgeous for the short time I tested its update. I had to stop because since it uses a connection it pauses downloads when playing it. Testing out 3D World + Bowser’s Fury now.

*Most save data is only copied so if you don’t purposely wipe your old Switch it’ll still have most data after transferring, even your account.

Edit: Bowser’s Fury looks great too.

I played a good amount of BotW last night. While I can’t tell an immediately obvious difference in frame rate just exploring it definitely feels much easier to pull off flurry rushes and parries in combat. The game is very noticeably brighter and more beautiful with vastly improved textures. I’ll go into Tears when I’m ready to actually dive in and finish basically the whole game. For BotW all I need to do is collect the voice notes for my completed save file.

Also, Zelda Notes, just for the official interactive map, is amazing. One amazing thing it does is that it’s treated like actually using GPS so your phone will never go to sleep while using it! :innocent:
