I hope not. I see USF as the home for IP set in a modern era, like F&F, BTTF, Ghost Busters, etc. I don't want a castle (or similar) built at the Orlando Studios (I'm giving KidZone a pass).

On the other hand, Epic (or IOA) would be a great home for the fantasy setting of Wicked/Oz.

Regarding Pokemon replacing LC, I do hope this happens. Pokemon is a huge IP deserving of a full land expansion ASAP, and IOA would be a great home for it.

My hope for this LC project (whatever it ends up being) is that they find a way to maybe organize/improve the entrance of Hogsmeade (and provide a buffer between it and the new land). Would love for them to find a way to expand Hogsmeade just a bit (like moving the HE closer to the station and building a queue for Hagrid's lockers there, etc.)

There is no expansion pad unless they remove some back of house space. Doable, but I doubt they touch it. If they do find it necessary to expand Pokemon, I can see them follow the Potter treatment of basing multiple areas with different themes/settings.

Pokemon in Lost Continent is a good call. Losing Mythos will hurt bad. Even if the Pokemon replacement has the exact same menu, it won’t hit the same. But any aesthetic Universal chooses for the land (realistic urban Rhyme City, cartoony Safari Zone, quaint Pallet Town, any combination thereof), it will work transitionally between Seuss and Hogsmeade while rebalancing the park a touch.

And it wouldn’t. If Pokémon comes in… this is likely the kind food they’d put in the land, much like SNW.

My apologies, I mean IP set in a modern era, preferably in a city/urban landscape. See Bourne, F&F, Diagon, Mummy, Fallon, and to a lesser extent, Minions (specifically Villaincon) and Simpsons/Springfield.

I was joking. Meaning Pokemon is such a popular IP it would do to Harry Potter what Harry Potter/Hagrid's did to Lost Continent in the mornings. But I agree with you on the better buffer between the two.

Yes. I don't want human sized, goofy looking Pikachu or other Pokemon like they have in the parades at Japan. I'd hope they go full immersion with the land unlike the Japan stuff thus far.

Plenty of interactions with face characters are possible. Team Rocket, a professor holding a little Pokemon like the JP puppets, random trainers, etc. Throw those life size walk around Pokemon in a parade over in USF, but please keep them out of this land.

I fear that the actual outcome of limiting meet and greets in favor of theming historically means we just don't get that much entertainment, and we end up missing a lot of fan favorites or fun opportunities; like Darth Vader or the Star Wars Weekends characters in SWGE or no character dining in Toy Story Land. One or two cool puppets would be incredible, but I'd be happy with a huge lineup of "fur"-type costumes too.

I don't have any opinion of Disney, but Raptor Encounter and The Grinch (when available) are fantastic at IOA. The Marvel and Toon characters are serviceable. Hogsmeade is kinda lacking IMO.

Best case scenario for Pokemon would be something akin to the entertainment offerings at Berk or Jurassic Park, or weird as it is to say, Sesame Street Land at SWO.

1. Between the high-budget and well-executed Raptor Encounter and Meet Toothless experiences, and the walk-around Dino Handlers puppeteers, Viking performers, and Lightbright mechs, I think a very solid and lore-accurate squad of Pokemon Trainer performers and puppeteers could give us some great offerings. Charizard Encounter, basically.

2. I'd also be interested in something akin to Sesame Street Land's meet and greets. They have a consistent staff of fur character performers that do M&G sets two at a time, with about 10+ different fur/mascot-style costumes available to fill those booths. With even more showing up for the parade, individual float show moments, or special events. Having a selection of meetable Pokemon that large would certainly help ease the lore / theming concerns imo. The costumes already exist in other parks, and it's the only way I see us getting more obscure Pokemon like Geodude or less relevant starters included at all.

Berk is the ideal here, with lots of smaller creatures you can see around the area, but some iconic classics you can get closer to. Give me a Starter Pokémon experience with AAs. I think the problem you run into is how you depict the Pokémon: giant foam heads like in USJ or do you go with realistic proportions? Or does it matter that you have a real-size Pikachu and also a big one you can hug and take photos with?
