Brother, I don't want either one. lol Also, 4 years is nothing, and they kept having the Grabber for the last two years for photops (because of course they did since Blumhouse is like a booger on everyone's finger.. always stuck there).

I don't know why people would think anything is likely to come just because a sequel was announced or whatever. I would hope Uni learned a lesson with TWD - after years in a row with that tripe, I'm sure the surveys blew up with WHAT ARE YOU DOING??!! STOP! There is a reason that most things need to be done in moderation or it just causes bigger issues.

Guess I was just trying to encourage a little more creative discussion instead of SSDD (IYKYK)

Universal is not opposed to featuring an IP for consecutive years in a row post-TWD, they have just become more strategic in how they do it. Universal Monsters had houses for 5 consecutive years in a row (the same as TWD), and Stranger Things was featured consecutively in 2018 and 2019. Out of those, the only house that was poorly received was Eternal Bloodlines, but it took 5 years to get to that point.

Given how extremely popular FNAF was this year, and the fact that it is currently Universal's biggest in-house horror property that they would want to promote, it is very possible it could appear again next year, and it would most likely be a major hit once again.

'Smile: For the Camera' prequel comic reveals story details, inside art work (exclusive)

'Smile: For the Camera' prequel comic set in the modeling world doesn't uncover the entity's origin, but it does give new meaning to the phrase 'grin and bear it.' See an exclusive inside look.

This comic is going to be scary, Along with smile 3 I hope this IP comes. It’s looking likely

Edit: this article just released today

There haven't been any rumors relating to Smile, so why would it be likely? Seems like more of a wishlist item than spec frankly.

As far as FNAF, I think the logic is that they spent SO much on those animatronics, and they're going to want to use them again lol. Luckily there's only 2 movies after next month!

For Black Phone, Universal just seems to be REALLY pushing it as the next big horror IP.

Like I said, I don't want to see either of them but I think it's pretty likely we'll get one or both. (and Stranger Things!)

I get this thought process with FNAF, but I have a hard time believing they would repeat this especially with how the prospects of Stranger Things looks rn. Stranger Things has taken over that TWD/AHS mantle of the repeat so I doubt they double up with another repeat this quickly. Also if we're saying they spent a lot of money on the FNAF animatronics, by that logic they spent a ton of money on the puppets for Quiet Place, but that didn't come back either. Black Phone 2 seems much more likely due to how they keep featuring the grabber at the event. Seems like a matter of time at this point till he comes back in a house.

I think people are expecting FNAF to return because it has the potential to be the new ST/TWD/AHS for the event. It is a tremendously popular franchise, and unlike the others, it is one that Universal actually has a stake in, as they produce the films.

While Blumhouse properties like The Black Phone and M3GAN are reasonably popular, I feel like the reason they have been appearing so much isn't necessarily because they are properties that people are clamoring to see year after year, but because those are also Universal distributed films that they want to promote. The line of thinking is that if people see M3GAN and The Grabber at the event, they will be more likely to watch their movies in theaters or on Peacock.

I do think The Black Phone will return at some point, but I'm not so sure that it is imminent, or that it would take priority over something like FNAF.

I'd also point out that ST had a break when the show did. FNAF is about to have the sequel released in a few weeks.

For me, FNAF coming back seems logical from a purely return-on-investment standpoint. They had to spend a lot of money on the set pieces and animatronics — I would think they’d want the most bang for their buck. Not to mention the popularity factor of course.

Bringing it up, but it seems Scott Cawthon's down in Florida for now. For the purpose--unknown, but it seems he and atleast Dawko are on property.

Elaborating--it actually seems like they did a FNAF2 event with a large amount of the FNAF community present. Major community heads, even including the likes of Matpat, saw the film early. So unfortunately--not HHN orientated.

A phenomenon that happens with games with obscure or inscrutable lore is that some YouTuber will appear and make elaborate videos explaining what the plot is actually about. For Dark Souls, it's Vaatividya. For Five Nights at Freddy's, its Matpat.

And he had a cameo in the first film/is voicing one of the animatronics in the sequel.

Ok, based on the codenames, the rumors I have been hearing, and the layout of the buildings, here is my personal early speculation of what might be coming to HHN 35 (remember this is JUST speculation. 90% certain this is NOT the actual lineup):

(SS 22) "BALLOON"
  • FNAF 2.
  • Killer Klowns From Outer Space.

(SS 23 A) "CAR"
  • "Anniversary” House.

(SS 23 B) "BUS"
  • Stranger Things 5.

(SS 24 A) "TRAIN"
  • Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

(SS 24 B) "CHARIOT"
  • "Ancient Mythological City" Original.

(F&F TENT) "HELICOPTER"
  • SAW.
  • H.R Blood N’ Gutz.

(SPRUNG 4) "TRACTOR"
  • Scarecrow / Wicked Growth sequel.

(SPRUNG 3) "HERSE”
  • Hellraiser.

(SPRUNG 2) "WAGON"
  • Jack V.S Oddfellow.

(SPRUNG 1) "SHUTTLE"
  • Invasion!
  • “Bzzcon” Original.

What you guys think?

I LOVED (!!!) this theme of Dead Coconut Club this year and I think this has TONS of potential for a really awesome house. I know we haven't had a DCC ---> house yet but I'm really gunning for this.

I wholeheartedly support this. DCC was absolutely gorgeous this year!

Was this popular enough to warrant a house two years after release? It doesn't have very good ratings.

I could see Black Phone 2 if for no other reason than Uni seems very attached to that property lol. that and Stranger Things are the only two "speculations" I have (vs just plain wishful thinking). Wouldn't be surprised by an Oddfellow and/or Jack thing. Would like to see Oddfellow come back, but I don't personally find Jack interesting. Oddfellow has a cool vibe though that I feel they could still do a lot with, especially if they go all in with zodiac stuff.

Curious to see developments in rumors. Am I correct that the only two true rumors right now are Hellraiser and Ozzy? If those come to fruition, I'll definitely have some homework this year. Never seen Hellraiser and I think I know a whopping 2 Ozzy songs (I live under a rock, leave me alone lol)

I'm not going to stop y'all, but hopefully you heed the advice: I would not put a lot of effort trying to fit the pieces of the codenames to potential IPs/originals. You're gonna drive yourselves crazy...

Just my 2 cents.

I am aware of that. That’s why I said I was basing my speculation on the code names, AND the rumors I have been hearing. It also kind of helps that this would be an “anniversary” year, so you can bet there will be A LOT of callbacks in the lineup.

It was general statement for all, not just you; and despite your clarification - I’d still say the same thing. What we hear in Nov isn’t what we hear in January, and not what we hear in March… and so on. Like I said, not stopping you - just giving my 2 cents.
