Stuck on their ride vehicle, sorry. He couldn't get it yet because their vehicle had still not cycled to the point where they could get his hat.

Did he forget his hat or are they not allowing people to remove their belongings during the evac? I sure hope he just forgot it.

Just posted a bunch of photos I took throughout the Forbidden Journey queue today:
http://www.insidethemagic.net/2010/...rbidden-journey-queue-in-the-wizarding-world/

Video of the entire queue and queue scenes is on the way in an hour or two. The ride only operated for about 30 minutes this morning (if that) and shut down when I was halfway through the queue. They left the queue open for "castle tours" for the remainder of today's preview.

But I must say, the queue is fantastic! Feels like a walk-through attraction unto itself.

99% ready for what??? While I am confident they will work out the glitches, to say 99% for a ride that shuts down after 30 minutes seems a bit optimistic doesn't it?

It needs to have people on it and break down for them to get it up to that 100%

I can't be sure because I didn't ask that, but it sounded like he forgot it because he said he "left it on the ride" like he was taking fault.

According to @ghostrider455, the Orlando Airport's Universal Studios store now has WWoHP merchandise for sale.

I dont get this. Why are they not trying to run the ride and open the land as much as possible to package /hotel people ? 2 hours and the ride breaks down after 30-45 minutes and thats it is kinda dumb.

As a computer programmer I understand 99% done even if the ride stopped after only 30 minutes. Sometimes users do not find issues with our programs for over a YEAR and they end up being fatal errors that crash the program. Because for some reason the stars did not line up to cause this error until that point. Normally it is because of the data. Adding people to the ride is like adding data to one of my programs. So I totally can see why they are having these issues now. Most likely Uni would have liked to have softs before this point to work out these issues or at least more TM previews. But it is what it is and now the package people are suffering through these issues. But understand these shutdowns are expected with a new ride that really has never been run with max people until now. This is testing for them, not final product. I would say they have done all Unit testing and are now onto final user testing, which would be 99% done.

Don't freak, they will have this working by Grand Opening. I actually think it would be cool to get stuck on the ride and see everything with the lights on.

For people who think it is dumb they don't open all day, I think they would if it wasn't a holiday weekend. The crowds would be too much for what they are trying to test. People would be in lines way too long and not spending money elsewhere.

Regardless, we are going to have to tear down the watering hole. We can work together on this to find a compromise for other drinking locations... ok?

Ah, fine. Not like it matters to me. I can't drink for another two years (yet I'm totally mature enough to get drafted for a war...), and I'd much rather go to The Hog's Head bar.

No...Woodbury is the guy that said something to the effect of "What building? All I see here is a fantastic themed environment"

Id put money that Gilmore has argued with UC over the fact that you can see the building in many places. But Gilmore will be out of a job come June 18 so...

Edit: or at least out of a job with Universal Creative...

Well I understand not opening to the masses over the holiday weekend, but why not have it open for the hotel guests to keep cruising in and out all day to see if the ride is back up and keep spending in the restaurant and shops ?

I don't think rides like this "break down". I think it's just a matter of the ride crews finally getting real guest flow, so they need to stop the ride to tweak and make adjustments. This is the first time they've been able to test the ride with a full queue.

what would be too much crowd control, in my opinion. If they can get them thru at the gates before everyone gets in the park thats better to handle vs having them come back and forth and having to deal with "why are they going in and we cant" a million times.

Apparently there are still kinks to work out in Hogsmeade. Where these might be . . . I dunno, but I agree; keep it open for more than three hours!

While I agree that programming, sensors etc all play a part, this hasn't yet been a glitch showing up a year later. It is showing up 30 minutes after opening two days in a row. The answers are in the error log or logs of one of many different computers running. I would love to know what the engineers and programmers are finding. That said, it isn't running until it is running. You give it 99% and I give it 5%.

Well maybe after a few successful runs, but the first time?!?!?! I would be mortified if that was my first experience.

I totally agree with this. They need to get DD open to everyone or they have a ride shortage on their hands very quickly.

Well my opinion is that DC should now be considered part of WWOHP. They shouldnt be trying to switch it back and forth for GP.

Quick question about Ollivanders: if you aren't the one selected during the show, how do you choose your wand? Is it just a matter of choosing one randomly off a shelf, or are you matchmaked to one?

I said that in reference to the guy who said if they have been cycling this for months, how are these issues just showing up now.
