First, the queues don't look THAT wide (in answer to Bryan's question) thus very little cutting ahead.... and I wouldn't be surprised if they use beam counters to restart the show after a certain number have exited the room (meaning, have most likely seen the show once).

Everything is on a loop. Nothing fancier than that.

does the single riders line follow the express line or do they do there own thing

basically if one takes the single rider line do they see anything at all or do they go straight to the RoQ?

SR and Express are in two different locations. SR will not see the musion effects or galleries. They will begin in the common rooms and depending on the wait could fly past everyone to the RoR. Express starts in a staircase of a smaller gallery that them upstairs to the queue of Dumbledore's office.

Oh? What is the timing of said loop? I certainly hope the timing is logical if this is true.

The only one I can think of right now is Dinosaur at AK. When you move from the big room to the preshow rooms, you are walking through beam counters that count the total of express and standby that are allowed in a room at once. The person standing at the console there is watching the numbers tick up to the near the max, and then stops the lines.

I log in. Oh, look, new Tbad556 Twitter update, must be news.
RIDE VEHICLE!?
I click. I see. I start seeing black. I faint a bit. I close tab.
...
I die.
This is a clear indication that I've seen too much. I've seen the picture of the Hippogriff and the choir video, but this... This was too much.
This time for reals: I'm leaving this thread 'till I go on Forbidden Journey. Period.
I love you all.
...
I just died.

Viola, I know you're enjoying this and it means a lot to you but if you keep up this death trend, the funeral rates will drive this forum into bankruptcy and we will be forced to bury you in random ditches.

After seeing the seats for the FJ ride I have to say I am a bit worried and was wondering if anyone else can chime in. I am 6'3/230pds. I am however not wide and fat, I have really wide shoulders but for example could fit in The Hulk coaster pretty easily. But after looking at the FJ seats they look really small as far as height goes, do they accommodate tall people with wide shoulders?

I've added a video walkthrough of the Forbidden Journey queue including all scenes:

http://www.insidethemagic.net/2010/...rbidden-journey-queue-in-the-wizarding-world/

YouTube is still processing it so quality will improve over time.

Dragon Challenge queue video is compressing now... and then that's all I have! ;)

Not long. Harry's loop has a bit longer downtime in it than Dumbledore's. He basically says his thing, turns his back to you, turns back around and "notices" he has guests, repeat. The photocell (people-counter) you reference at Dinosaur has nothing to do with the show cycle. It really is just to count people for room occupancy capacity reasons. That preshow as well runs on a constant loop, with or without people in it fast enough.

Because they were exiting the queue early through the unload area and snapped it before they went down the unload stairs. Read back for more of what I posted regarding this.

Well, capacity is what I said. I was merely explaining where I have seen it used and it is USED to COUNT people into an area. The fact that FJ is not using this ... in my opinion... sucks and is bad show.

Okay. Last video! (Finally)

Update #6 is a walkthrough of the Dragon Challenge queue (or at least up until it got too dark for my video camera to pick anything up):
http://www.insidethemagic.net/2010/...g-world-of-harry-potter-at-universal-orlando/

That link now has 7 videos from yesterday and today. Plus there's one more video here:
http://www.insidethemagic.net/2010/...rbidden-journey-queue-in-the-wizarding-world/

And of course there are a ton of photos on both of those posts.

I will also soon be recording a podcast that will feature some binaural audio I recorded walking through Hogsmeade Village and some other audio from Forbidden Journey's queue, including their dreaded message that informs waiting guests that they all have to leave when the ride shuts down. Good times. I may put that show up later tonight.

I hope you all have enjoyed everything I have posted. It was great fun recording it all and I look forward to a leisurely stroll through WWoHP without any cameras. :)

I agree. I think the queue should be pulsed started at Dumbledore's office, allowing just enough guests in each section that they get the show and leave with the impression that it happened just for them. Looping makes me uncomfortable.
