14, 18, 10 are my favorites with 13 being my favorite origional Icon(that was not Bloody Mary) concept one. The sadistic nature and the song did it for me. The worst one in my opinion was sixteen. Don't ask me why because I don't know how well I can word it, but the birthday cake and glass casket just was not doing it for me. At least the other years even though some.

This year is fair. The shout outs and hidden stuff you have seen in the park over the years is fun and its neat to see them play on a backstory mythos with themselves and offisite. wharehouse facilities. Fear is looking fierse and nasty so that's a plus.

Looking at all of those commercials, the Director ones, CoC and Bloody Mary are by far the best ones. They got two accomplished directors this year and then went with such a weak voice actor for the commercial, I do some voice stuff every now and then and I could have done a much better job.

My favorite is the CoC commercial by far. So close ones are Bloody Mary, Sweet 16, and The Caretaker ones.

I'm sorry but I love last year's...I'm a Chucky stan though so it's expected. The 2000 one is amazing too. But the scary cake goes to Bloody Mary in 2008.

Very true Bri, but when it comes to quality of the commercial, last years and CoC were the best visually IMHO.

This year the guys are talking about trying to not make it look like a commercial, but it does look like a commercial, last years didn't look like a commercial.

My Commercial Idea (and I might make one too):

I would use the same visuals with the guy in the warehouse, and the lamp lighting up etc....

For the script I would have used a deeper tone of voice for the voiceover and had him say:

"For 19 years, he's lived in the shadows as his minions have done his bidding" (Do the quick flash of Jack, Caretaker, Director, Storyteller, and the Usher) While speaking their specific roles, chaos, malice, etc...(long pause while the guard is walking around and he sees the lantern)

"This year....is the year of Fear........and his minions bring him forth into our world for the first time ever.........The only thing you have to fear....is Fear himself."

That sounds better....I would love to see the other Universal HHN XX commercial edits though. I mean there has got to be one better than the "Thiller" verson that they are putting out.

I personally "fear" should have narrated the commercial like the other video of him...

Well if they used the "Fear Revealed" video, then yes, his narration would have worked. But with the warehouse video it wouldn't have.

This year is really lacking compared to 17 and 18, the best by far. Last year was good mainly due to the song and movie tie-ins but it was not really an HHN commercial. X was great because of its really low production value and old school horror. This year should have been focused on Fear and the previous icons and not some security guard.

I think HHN 13's commercials were the only ones that were just downright disturbing. I think they did a good job of marketing HHN as a scary event.
