but they've been treating all the employees great and actually taking care of our park, and we all love it.

:iagree: In fact, I couldn't agree more. It's been a pleasure since they came on board and even better once they bought out Blackstone's shares. They recognize the potential the resort property has and are clearly advancing forward. Being owned and operated by a single entity for the first time has made a tremendous difference in what guests can and can't see. I'm so excited to see what's to come.

Agreed. Either take the time to fix it, or rip it out.

But back on topic...in 2 and 1/2 years, UOR will have Spider-Man, Forbidden Journey, Cat in the Hat, Transformers, MIB, Gringotts, Mummy, ET, and possibly another dark ride/dark ride hybrid in IoA. That is an INSANE lineup of dark rides.

If we're lucky we might see new FJ projectors, or a Cat in the Hat, MIB, or ET refurb.

Really there is an amazing line up of projects going on here. we just need people to keep visiting the parks and dumping money.

I have family who was in town, and normally Universal is a 2 day activity for them... they visit, they leave around 4 or 5 pm, go back to the hotel, relax...

Well this year things changed.

They were in the parks until 9 - 10 pm, then stayed at CityWalk and partied, they then upgraded their tickets to preferred annual passes... now all my family does it talk about coming back to Orando do use their Annual Passes at UO... no mention of Disney World even though for them it is free (due to family members who work there).

Kind of awesome/depressing that they would rather spend hundreds of dollars at Universal Orlando, rather than a free day at Disney World.

There are a LOT of folks at Universal with an invested interest in twisting the mouse's tail. Steve Burke, Theiry Coup, and the person with the purse strings Comcast have all been...umm...dissed by the Dis.

Besides the partying, this sounds like what happened with my parents.

I used two complimentary passes on them when I first got some, we spent the day at IoA. My mother LOVES Harry Potter and she loved the entire que/ride of FJ, the butter beer, and the atmosphere.

Then I conned her onto going on Jurassic park (she didn't know about the drop  ) and she had a blast on that.

My father, mother and I all went on spider man, and he usually doesn't care about the rides - he had a blast and it's now a must visit for him.

My Mother is 53, my Father is 63, and they have no interest in visiting the Disney parks, but they bought Annual Passes to UOR the next time they came up.

This. I have a WDW AP, and I'm getting a UO AP soon because of these announcements. I was trying to stagger them but boy, it sure is the Year to Be (T)Here.

Dad is in Phoenix, mom and one sister in jville, and another sister who is constantly moving but still flies back to Orlando and must get a butter beer during her stay:lol: Everyone wants to visit Universal when they come to stay with me.

Are you saying you offer lodging? Does this include a free continental breakfast?

I've stayed with HateTo many of times. You have to try the pancakes. They're divine.

I live in NY and my second to last trip to Orlando was with my dad and the only parks we went to were Universal and IOA! My dad who really like rides (but is GP) thought Potter was awesome and really enjoyed the parks as much as I do. Never even stepped foot on WDW property.

My last trip was to visit UCF with my mom and step dad, the only WDW property we went to was Downtown Disney to eat at T-REX! We had two-day park to park passes for Universal though!! My mom & step dad who never really get on rides or really care about the scenery LOVED Spiderman and thought the castle at IOA was really impressive (trust me, impressing the step dad is a hard thing!!) We had two great days at the parks and they are my favorite.

I would love to work at Universal in the future and I have nothing but good things to say about their parks. Disney might be magical but they lack awesome thrill rides. If I go to college at UCF, I would only get season passes to UOR!

I LOVE Transformers (the movies) and if this ride came, I'd go nuts and try my best to be there during the opening! I'd love to see monsters get re-themed so I can have some of that orange drink :drool5:

Just thought I would post a little possibility picture. Photogs may MAY want to keep an eye out for something that looks sort of like this being delivered on the back of a truck in the next 4-16 weeks. Just keep your eyes peeled. They may be 12-18" (or more) in diameter.

If I didn't know better, I'd think you might be trying to tell us something.

(Or would that might be may?)

Thanks for the heads up! Now every blue thing in the park is going to give me whiplash.

Teebin is right on. These will be installed prior to the concrete slab, along with any other plumbing/electrical/mechanical rough-in below slab. Expect 'ours' to be at least 20' or more in length.
