Does nobody that's upset realize that HTF felt the same way when he find out about it? So think about what they must have planned to have flipped his opinion like this.

And not being a Potter fan, I couldn't care less there's no glasses in the movies or books.

Well, speaking of 3D, I'm really wishing for some 3D objects that are projection mapped. I feel that is really a futuristic technology that is lacking in implementation right now. Disney stepped up their game and used it for some awesome effects in the new Test Track like the design car in the queue and the digitizing city in the ride. Universal has experience with the tech from Halloween Horror Nights and their melting and morphing city walls from the apocalypse themed scare zone a few years back. Any word about that floating around?

Oooh it'd be really cool to see like a projection of rocks falling, or even track! And that would be a perfect way to explain the drop track (or thief's downfall of course). What I'm curious is, and this may have been answered, but will we be walking through the main lobby of Gringotts with amazing Goblin animatronics?

Taking a sidestep from the 3-D conversation here, I got some good views of the construction today of both Gringotts and HE...though this site pretty much has all the coverage on Gringotts' progress, just thought I'd share that HE is really nowhere near getting complete. From what I saw there were only a few footers laid out, everything else is still a big empty construction site. However, most of the backroads have been torn out at this point which is pretty neat, and there is some foundation work going in in just a few places. Also of note, the footers are about three feet high (I remember that maybe being a discussion topic earlier on) but at the same time, there are three points at which a road cuts into the construction site, leading me to believe the track will be high enough to allow trucks and buses to pass underneath these existing roads. But overall, nothing much to report.

The scale of the stations alone are massive so your correct we have along ways to go. And in terms of clearance your looking at roughly 18 ft of clearance along the track path.

Maybe this has already been addressed but wouldn't glasses be a major problem for Gringotts? Glasses and coaster elements don't seem to mix - guests could easily lose them if they were to fall off during a faster part of the ride.

I'm not as disappointed about it being in 3-D as I am that this part of the ride makes it seem like it's not going to be very fast or thrilling. I know, I know, rides don't have to have high speeds and fancy maneuvers to be exciting, but I was kinda getting my hopes up for a decent thrill factor.

I think FJ is evidence enough to prove that a ride doesnt have to go very fast to be thrilling. This ride is gonna be just fine...and if they even come close to what they did with FJ (which they will exceed) and then add roller coaster parts...You wont even worry about the fact that you're not moving 50 mph.

Shrek and T2 need to go, IMO. And not replaced with more 3-D.

Shrek I agree with, T2 i'm partial too and with the upcoming Terminator films, i'd actually like to see an update somewhere down the line.

I've been hearing this "update" for years and years and years. Two more Terminator movies have been made... not a single update. In fact, doesn't Six Flags have the rights to the latest movie?

According to The Sun UK, the stars of the films have been shooting stuff for the expansion.

Wait, it says they're filming two for Diagon Alley and one for Hogsmeade?

I don't see where you're gathering that from the posted article?

I also don't see how this is really news... Of course parts of the cast needed to be gathered to film new roll for the expansion(s).

It has been stated earlier that the stars wouldn't be shooting anything for the expansion. I am interested in WHICH stars are involved. We know Bellitrix, but who else? And I am wondering if the Belletrix part is in her vault in Gringott's.

The new “mini movie” will go on show at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter attraction in Florida and two new Hogwarts theme parks under construction.

So they're saying USH and USJ are getting this as well?

I wouldn't expect USH and USJ to get carbon copies of the current TWWOHP in Orlando. Plus, if they've gotta film more for UO, they might as well use it wherever they can.
