As it stands right now, they may complete within two or three months of each other.

The sad part is if Disney pushed this, it could've easily been opening this summer.

It easily could have been open last year with the rest of NFL, but that's not the Disney we know and love today.

This is sad, but true. And the scary part is that Disney sees no need to change. People continue to visit WDW no matter what. The average Orlando tourist doesn't know any better, and the Disney fan boys and girls are so high on pixie dust that they're content with mediocrity. I still like Disney, and will continue to visit, but there's no denying that they've been lacking as of late. It's a shame too. When focused, they're capable of greatness.

OLC owns TDLR. According to HKDL's wikipedia page, they are owned by Hong Kong International Theme Parks, which is a joint ownership between the Government of Hong Kong (57%) and The Walt Disney Company (43%).

The most disappointing thing about this project is how much has changed in this project since it was leaked in 2009. The constant altering of plans really shows the lack of vision on Disney's part. This whole project really seems like a blatant attempt to just increase capacity with a bunch of lacklaster "attractions". Even though the current "reimagining" of Fantasyland is the best version so far, it still seems half baked and poorly conceived with a mountain plopped in the center of the land instead of in a corner and dueling Dumbos in the corner of the park with no views. I love Disney, but I just wish they created something breathtaking again, not some messy expansion. Just my thoughts

The attention to detail in this project is promising but the actual ideas are pretty mediocre.

Disney IS creating great stuff. You just have to leave WDW to see it.

I don't know what your talking about. The project was only altered once because people said it was too princess oriented. Other than that what weve seen planned is what we've been getting. It made sense to have dumbo on the "outskirts" of the forest because when circuses would come to town, that's where it was. But more realistically it made financial sense because the tents and train were already their. And calling it half baked is not the right words because I feel like they are doing a great job (even though it's taking forever)

I think it is half baked because nothing fits together. It looks like a lot of ideas thrown into one area of the park. The Seven Dwarfs ride is horribly situated and blocks the Little Mermaid. The project has been changed numerous times if you look at the ever changing concept art. But I do think they are doing a great job but I think the whole idea behind the expansion is wrong and horribly thought out.

About blocking the little mermaid, that's what the imagineers wanted. I saw an interview with one saying, they designed the area so that certain areas need to be discovered by turning corners and exploring. Imagineers didn't want everything out in your face. They didn't want the little mermaid to be seen from old fantasyland. I feel like the mountain fits in well because right across from it is Winnie the Pooh which fits in with the same theming. And I know all this because of an interview I saw on YouTube.

Your entitled to your opinion but I'm just trying to understand you and telling you what I've heard and seen.

I don't buy it. I sounds like they are trying to justify doing it. Disney were the ones who came up with the whole visibility thing (aka a weenie). You don't go building an attraction that people need to explore to find. People just wont find it. You need to draw people in, other wise the ride will not be as popular as it should be. You just need to look in almost all Disney parks there are weenies, for example Space mountain or the most obvious the castle. These make people want to explore, but if guests cannot see anything done that direction they just wont go to it. Also this is information that Disney have said themselves is important in a good theme park design.
