Does it remain true that the vehicles will not swing as once proposed, or was it a myth that they wouldn't?

Lee over on Magic recently confirmed the cars will still sway.

Uh... forever?

I didn't know there was doubt about them swaying still, I've never had any doubt.

Kind of like the Yeti right? My post early was just me poking fun at Disney and the Yeti situation

There were rumors back early on in the construction phase that the sway may have been canned, but they were put to rest once Disney released the CGI portions of the rides and the video of them testing the swaying car system.

6 months. Some brainless idiot will do something stupid and fall out as the car sways. Either that or the swaying will break and TDO won't fix it. In that case, 3 weeks.

Man, people love cracking on Disney. And unfortunately Disney only has their selves to blame. This project is quite possibly the slowest I can recall. And when things do open, as amazingly themed as they are, people still aren't happy because these amazingly themed areas are surrounded by a construction site. My expectations aren't high, but I sincerely hope 7DMT is a great ride. In a dream world: When it does open, it exceeds everyone's expectations and justifies it's ridiculously long construction, while silencing the Disney naysayers. But in the real world, people are still going to crack on Disney because 7DMT was a slowly built, watered-down version of Thunder Mountain. And more than likely they'll be right, but I REALLY hope not.

Those were never accurate rumors. I know I'm just some ass on the internet, but there was never any doubt.

The Yeti is a giant AA that uses exterior forces to exert 747 forces on a foundation. The 7 Dwarfs coaster is just rocking mechanism powered by centripetal force.

You're not being inquisitive or conversational, just cynical.

I never commented on the accuracy of said rumors, just stated they were floating out there for a while. There may have been no doubt for you but im sure there were plenty who might have thought that it was possible. Scroll back and check out earlier pages in this thread, im sure you will find it was talked about at one point.

And im very very well aware that the sway was always happening and not on the chopping block :look:

Has any information been released about the seating arrangements. I have been trying to figure out exactly what they may be but I seem to be over thinking it. Because if they sat side by side a lap bar restraint wouldn't be too friendly due to the swaying.

He was just making a joke that most people here would understand as the yeti has been a major source for jokes here.

How and why has 7DMT taken so long?
It saddens me to see this once great company appearing to be almost a shadow of it's former self....

What in the hell is going on over there?

It's not that Disney all of a sudden forgot how to build things. It's taking this long because they want it to. Suits waned to spread the cost out as long as possible.

Seems like a silly move.
We saw signs of "New Fantasyland" all over Orlando then we get there and it's a construction site.

Sadly with TDO projects like this take five years from the start of construction to finish.

I find it funny how a project of similar magnitude takes Universal only 2 1/2 years to complete.

I would expect that if anything, the mine train construction might slow down more now that The Lone Ranger has joined the ranks of John Carter. Is it 300 million that they have lost in the past two years?
