Jurassic World VelociCoaster Construction Thread (Opening June 10)

The games are Phase 1 with the good stuff coming in Phase 2. This is the same thing they did with Springfield as the games were actually labeled Phase 1 and the FFB, Duff Gardens, and Kang and Kodos being officially labeled as Phase 2. The main reason the games in JP are going up so much faster this go around is because they need them open to offset the loss of revenue once they close down the games in the Lost Continent. Those games are closing in order to build a new 'courtyard' entry area for Hogsmeade and the South Station of the Hogwarts Express.

While I know its a ways off compared to the HP stuff, and you have talked about it before, I would still love to hear more about JP Phase 2 if there is more to be said.

Keep your eye on the stash thread and not here. That is where the BIG reveal of a few new upcoming attractions will be posted tonight, between 8-9pm eastern. JP may well be one of them. I am so looking forward to being disappointed.

Well, in his post he says that he had seen plans for a coaster in the Trike area, which is not affected by the new Kong land, so there's no reason we can't have both, right? Although it seems unlikely we'd get them both in the same year.

I think they could really benefit from a solid family coaster, but yeah, this rumor is pretty juicy!

Hope so! More frustrating than not being able to go on Trike Encounter is having that space just sitting there, unused, wasting away.

Well, Teebs...I was apparently more correct on my question than I had any idea. When I asked, I obviously wasn't specific enough. I'd remembered HTF's comments about the stakes in the Thunder Falls area and was beginning to wonder why there was no hint of even permits, given a plan to open in Summer 2015.

If the new HTF info is the final plan, it explains just about everything. Timing is still getting pretty tight though for something this ambitious.

Lol wouldn't that be great if in Jurassic World they actually combined the universe of Jurassic Park with that of King Kong into one movie, and then that's why the two lands at IOA are going right next to one another?! If that were to be the case, I would have no quibbles about the further cannibalization of JP's land :drool:
