I've had two P.I.'s who ended up being good friends. Pay is crap and you're held under a lens. Great networking experience if you plan to stay with the company.

Professional Internships are a little different than Management internships which are salaried, pay very well and actually put interns in management roles in the operation. MI's are found in food and bev, retail, attractions, custodial, transportation, recreation, housekeeping, resorts front desk. Professional interns that I've heard of go into specific roles and special projects in area like chemistry, finance, marketing, engineering things like that.
