I heard yesterday that the ride was FINALLY signed off to the Ops department so they should begin soft openings soon.

Express pass is the way to go, expensive but worth it. Rather have one night of going through every haunted house and show without worries than multiple nights with ridiculously long lines. But anyways no single rider line is understandable for this kind of ride but Disney should really add them into rides for the older crowd with ridiculously long waits. I might be wrong but aren't RnRC and Everest the only rides in the resort with single rider lines? Maybe I'm just spoiled by universal with a single rider option on almost all of their rides

You have to remember that the majority of rides that Disney have are 2 or 3 person type seats or bench like seating where a family takes up some or all of the bench. So that is why a lot of them don't have single rider. I do agree they don't utilize single rider enough, but they do have it for Test Track in addition to the others. They tried with Soarin and for some reason it never worked, but I don't know why. Tower of Terror would be one they could probably add it to.

Oh I used it for test track a couple times that's another one. Makes sense but I really do think there are a bunch of rides in the resort that could really benifit from it especially Tower of terror

Got my FP+ for the 2nd of June, early morning/afternoon. I really wish the FP+ system would allow for multiple parks in the same day. Being stuck at one park in one day is annoying.

This ride is beautiful, is a fantastic addition, and I look forward to riding it. But, the swinging feature seems to be fairly useless. Either bank your turns or utilize the swinging technology. Doing both somewhat negates the other.

It does now. I'm not sure if you need to use your pre-booked FPs first, but you can park hop by going to kiosks and getting fast passes, not through app yet.

I feel like eventually it will get to that point. It just may be a little while as it probably isn't a priority at the moment.

Yeah I just easily booked for June 1st, which was the only day I looked at since that is the first time we can go. So even though 50000 would done that morning, not everyone is jumping out there and doing it and I don't see anyone having an issue getting these in advance.

I just got my own for Jun 1st as well. Many time slots available.

people knock Fastpass Plus, but being able to "reserve" your rides is a pretty awesome perk if you ask me. Just sucks if you aren't staying at a resort.

From experience I will tell you that reserving rides is only useful when you are hanging with bros. when you are with a toddler who is unpredictable it becomes a major pain in the ass. Here's a example, you reserved Peter Pan for 12:45, your kid (or little brother in my case) becomes hungry and tired. I can't just say "shut your mouth and get on the ride" I have to take care of him and fill his needs. Maybe a reservation will be at 5 when we are leaving around 3 or traffic around a parade makes us miss our deadline. In conclusion things change and I can't really help it like I could with the old fast pass system where I'd be a hour to two hours later. This over complicates things and will seriously piss you off at points with all the glitches (read inside the magics article about meeting Elsa in Anna at fairy tale hall) if it ain't broke, don't fix it

That same scenario would happen under the old system as well, though. If something came up at 12:45 with a paper FP that said 12-1 (that you obviously hadnt used yet), youd be in the same exact situation. But this is really only an issue if kids really cant wait 3 minutes for a ride to be over before they have to eat. I always asked my kids when they were younger if they had to go to the bathroom before getting on, and if one of them was hungry they were ok waiting a few minutes for the ride to be over...it really wasnt the end of the world

I personally think reserving in advance is so much better with kids. Because I can plan my times around around typical eating schedule. Where in the past you had no options with time, whatever was available then was what you got. I have a 3 year old and I have had no issues with the times I picked and her. I have an hour window, so you can eat within that hour and still ride the ride. I also tend to book them back to back to we stay in that area for the entire time making it easier to make our times and not get stuck in parade traffic. Which is really nice. So this would be an example...

2 to 3 Barnstormer
3 to 4 Peter Pan
4 to 5 7D

So I ride Barnstormers, then do Dumbo (indoor waiting area so don't mind the wait) then head up to do Peter Pan (then do Mickey show, carousel, and/or Small world) then head to 7D. Then we either ride a couple short waits (HM & the other ones we hadn't done between PP and 7D) and then eat or if we are hungry eat then. With the added bonus of being able to add FP after you use them I would probably go schedule some more before doing anything else. Like schedule Pooh or LM which typically also have longer waits.

I also think it depends on the kid too. My daughter is pretty easy going and will happily go on a ride even if hungry.

As for the person that said it sucks unless you stay at the resort, really I don't see this. I have booked FPs the same day I went and got everything I wanted. Heck I have showed up at 2 PM and got everything I wanted. But normally if you want a very popular ride I would book by 10 AM.

I know they spent WAY too much money and I know that in many ways this system is not perfect. It also has a TON of glitches and problems. But the end product is going to be very useful for everyone. I really see this pattern with Disney. They spend to much money, too much time, and it is not perfect, but the end product is really good. You can say that same statement for 7D.

That was just a example, my brother could definitely wait to eat but if you have literal babies with you like my other brother and he falls asleep or has a temper tantrum then I guess your outta luck. Ever since they started adding a time limit to when you can get on in 2012, the FP system has gotten way more annoying and harder to plan out. For this system though you really have to predict. "Oh cool I have a fast pass for mermaid and the line is 20 minutes" it's not abysmal but it needs fixing

Well, I've actually had experiences with a toddler with both the old fast pass system and the new one, and I definitely prefer the new one. Mainly for not having to be the fast pass runner for the family. You can also move times around via your iphone app, which we actually did when it started to rain and we decided to eat lunch early. It took all of 2 mins to pull up my fast pass on my phone and change my time to about 3 hours later..which worked out great because it stopped raining...so anyway....

My only real gripe with the fast pass system is that it limited your choices to 3, which I hear is fixed now.
