By soon, I assume he means 5 years? I cannot imagine what Disney could be up to that would cause me to buy a pass if I didn't already have one. Remy or Star Wars wouldn't cut the cake.

A Star Wars Park would make me get a pass.
But I do not think that is what they are doing

We should have a FUN WITH HATE'S TWEETS thread where we discuss what his tweets could mean. Now that would be entertaining. ;)

Interesting post about the topic from member Bugalow4 on Magic:
To a degree I can back up what Dave is saying. I am not disputing his sources. I just don't have the same sources and I was on vacation when this thing went viral. Here's what I know from my neck of the woods.

Meetings and e-mails began showing up quite a bit recently demanding ideas. And I know for a fact HP was brought up in one of those meetings. Not as a sole reason, but someone from a middle management standpoint at least mentioned they were not happy about the PR Blitz it created on the heels of SWW.

Some ideas stuck out of those meetings, but again they were just ideas. However some ideas have legs because CMs are being slotted for hours even if they don't know whats coming. Anyone who hasn't already been approved for vacation time in the next few months will not get any at this point from an entertainment standpoint.

This is still a very fluid situation. From where I am, meetings are occurring daily to get whatever "it" is off the ground and quickly (right after July 4th). Getting the ideas from concept to paper/design was supposed to take place this week to see what feasible. I see CMs from the Fireworks realm daily and I know they are scrambling because the budget needed for daily shows at DHS is big. If it gets approved they are being given a small amount of time to create something from scratch

That sucks, you can do a ton of things but taking vacations from the cast members who do many shows around 24 shows a week just crosses the line for me. It's incredibly unfair

I'll pass on all of this thank you very much. I don't think anything could be more cringy then having the streets of America filled with families screaming let it go on the top of their lungs

Well its official.

http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...summer-fun-live-at-disneys-hollywood-studios/

This summer, the world of “Frozen” takes center stage at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We’re opening up the gates July 5 for a summer-long special event, featuring a full day of all-new, immersive “Frozen” experiences you won’t want to miss, every day through September 1!
Here are some of the highlights:

Olaf on Summer Vacation – Olaf the snowman is having the time of his life on his very first summer vacation! He chimes in throughout the day to keep everyone updated on all his adventures. Plus, you can pick up your very own Take-Along Olaf from locations in the park, so he can join you on your summer vacation. And when you share your photos with Olaf on social media, be sure to tag them with [HASHTAG]#OlafSummerVacation[/HASHTAG]. They may just get selected to appear in that day’s grand finale!

Anna and Elsa’s Royal Welcome – At 11:00 a.m. each day, Elsa and Anna arrive in Hollywood as part of their goodwill tour of neighboring kingdoms, making their way down Hollywood Boulevard in a horse-drawn sleigh. Kristoff is along for the fun, too, joined by a flurry of skaters, skiiers, ice cutters and more! The entire procession culminates in a special moment at the Sorcerer’s Hat Icon Stage to officially welcome the visiting royalty to this kingdom of Hollywoodland.

For the First Time in Forever: A “Frozen” Sing-Along Celebration – Cool down inside the Premiere Theater, where Anna and Elsa join the Royal Historians of Arendelle for a fun and comedic retelling of the unique history of their Kingdom, filled with delightful, sing-along moments from “Frozen.”

Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post & Frozen Funland – Inside Soundstage One, Oaken and his cousins have created a Frozen Funland filled with cold weather activities, unique photo opportunities, and more! There’s a frozen pond with ice skating demonstrations, wintertime fun for kids in the “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” play area, a “big summer blowout” with plenty of “Frozen” merchandise, and special “Frozen”-inspired food and beverage offerings.

“Coolest Summer Ever” Dance Party – Starting at 5:30 p.m. each day, a dance party takes over the area around the Sorcerer’s Hat Icon Stage, with a DJ, live band, and more! The band plays a variety of classic and contemporary summer rock & roll hits, as well as a cool, rocking medley of “Frozen” favorites. It’s going to be hot!

“Frozen” Fireworks Spectacular – Everything wraps up at 9:45 p.m. when Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf come together at the Sorcerer’s Hat Icon Stage for a grand finale to the day’s festivities, kicking off an awe-inspiring fireworks display set to the glorious music of “Frozen!”

I don’t know if I’m elated or … well, you know!
If you’re somewhere in that zone, like me, you’re already bursting with anticipation for “Frozen Summer Fun – Live at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.” Starting July 5, the sky will be blue, and you guys will be there, too! It’s going to be a great summer for snowmen, royalty, and anyone who’s a fan of “Frozen!”

Im guessing theyre simply taking a cue from the success of Electronica and Mad T Party at DCA...theyre a way to get otherwise bored locals out to the parks. I would be surprised if alcohol sales didnt become a big part of it as well.

COUGH awkward despicable me finale COUGH
See it as a cash in but I definitely see it as a smart move for Disney getting peoples heads away from the potter opening. If softs won't be held July 5-7 then all eyes will be on disney for this event. But I promise you when diagon opens on the 8th nobody is going to even touch this event

Well at least the dance party is part of the attraction / M&G with minions.

This is a dance party STRICTLY for a dance party, and not a very good one either.

Mad T Party and ElecTRONica were different, it was more adult and a sort of nightclub in the park.

But I'm sure the pixie dusters are saying THIS IS THE POTTER KILLER! MOAR FROZEN!!!! ...pft...Let it Go....

Good move by Disney, cash in on a hot property and try and take a little of the limelight away from Uni and Potter at the same time, all whilst driving sales and keeping people longer in a half day park.

Not my cup of tea but I can see why they are doing it and many will lap this up.

Clever or desperate? you decide!

Clever in the timing of the event, desperate in the content

I think the question should be if they are 'desperately clever' or 'cleverly desperate'.

It's counter marketing. Most little girls that are into frozen are too young for Potter. This just adds a reason for families to visit WDW studios. Smart move by Disney
