If I was a betting man I would bet that the lists are legit for the most part. Universal may be floating the bogus rumor to keep the discussion alive.Counter intelligence of sorts. No inside info, just a gut feeling. LOL

It's bogus, the whole event is just Five Nights at Freddy's ;)

So when did we start getting official announcements last year? June? July?

TWD got announced in June, then more announcements started in July IIRC.

August is basically the big announcement month but you'll get one or two house announcements (along with a billion teases) June and July. Also I think most of you are mixing up personal wants with concepts that have an actual basis behind it. Let's think logically here and look at the original list....yeah no

Edit: Looking back at last year 6 of the 8 houses were announced in August, my bad. I'd probably expect them to get the hype train rolling earlier being an anniversary year though.

"Let's think logically here and look at the original list.... yeah no" - Are you referring to the houses or scare zones (or both)?
The house list doesn't seem that far fetched, although the Body Collectors + Shadybrook as well as Hallow'd Past 2 might have different names. Who knows what the real story concepts behind them will be either?
Everyone is under the impression there will be an icon (through the ages) house and since PsychScareapy was used at least 4 different times throughout the years and everyone loved the Body Collectors, it would make sense to bring them back for the anniversary.
The Run house was only used a couple times, but apparently was a fan favorite (1st Run). However, there is almost no possible way (barring an upcharge) that it could be brought back in the same way as the original Run because the line would be outrageously long.
What better house to make into 3d than Alice in Wonderland? Assuming this house was actually taking place, I'd have the Scary Tales scare zone parked right at it's entrance (which is not where it is rumored to be). Unless... There is also the possibility (in my mind) that the house is really a bunch of patients from Shady Brook dressed up as characters from Alice in Wonderland (Return to the Asylum in Wonderland). The house would be a walk through the crazy minds (3d) of the inmates. But, PsychoScareapy supposedly already has a house, so who knows?
I'm personally hoping that the Blizzard clue dropped by Mike is still Krampus (even though it is highly unlikely). Why they wouldn't have a Krampus house when the movie is coming out only several weeks later really has me confused. Not only that, but many people (myself included) want this house to happen. It would be almost as silly as Trick 'r Treat not being released in the theater.
I also would have liked for them to bring back the Dungeon of Terror since this is the 25th anniversary and that was the 1st house ever for this event. Maybe there will at least be some sort of hidden cameo reference to it somewhere in the park.

One thing that comes to mind in regards to the scare zone list is that there is only 1 area realistically that could allow all those jack-o-lantern lights that were hung up before. Central Park is pretty much the only place with enough trees to pull it off in a way that makes sense. Since the event is called Halloween Horror Nights, it really should have an area dedicated to the holiday that helped usher in the event.

Me too actually, giving the first teaser on the Halloween of 2014 when the event was still going on really means something here

Assuming Dr. Jimmy has the inside track again--he's been solid for years now--let's compare his hints with the leaked list ...

You'll Never Walk Alone - TWD (first clue, was kind of a gimmee)

The Mad Hatter - No doubt Alice. House could have been inspiration for his April Fools Day joke as well.

Those Were the Good Old Days - seems obviously a "best of" house

Run Rabbit Run - new variation on Run, natch

Bosom Buddies/Science Fiction Double Feature - Either could be F v J

Cool - sounds like playing up the Winters Night aspect of the Winters Night/Body Collectors/Shadybrook mash-up

That's 6 of 9. Nothing jumps out at me as Scream-related, and I haven't seen Insidious to know if any of his songs might apply. Nothing jumps out as being AWiL either, but he only has 14 clues--maybe 9th house was late? Or maybe that's the false info?

As for SZs, Tradition and Come Look at the Freaks sort of line up with the list. The RHPS song could easily be classic monsters if it's not FvJ. Neverland might be Scary Tales (particularly if Pan/Hook/Tink end up being used). Other two have me completely stumped, but the Doc's clues can be insanely obscure.

Unless Dr. Jimmy got the same bad info as everyone else--again, would be peculiar given his track record--it doesn't seem like the lists we've seen were made up out of whole cloth. Might be one or two deliberate errors but largely seems legit.

"Nothing jumps out as Scream-related"
How about #9, Vanilla Ice Cream? "Ice Cream, He brought me Ice Cream, Vanilla Ice Cream"
Say Ice Cream fast and what do you get? I scream...

Insidious could possibly be applied to #2, Never Never Land. In Insidious, they end up traveling to an astral dimension where the spirits causing all the trouble reside.
Lyrics: I have a place where dreams are born, And time is never planned. It's not on any chart, You must find it with your heart. Never Never Land. It might be miles beyond the moon, Or right there where you stand. Just keep an open mind, And then suddenly you'll find Never Never Land. You'll have a treasure if you stay there, More precious far than gold. For once you have found your way there, You can never, never grow old.
Could be a match.

Clue #3, Bosom Buddies could be applied AWiL... In the film, David's close friend appears as a reanimated corpse and informs him that as long as the bloodline of the wolf (David) that killed him is still alive, he is cursed to exist in that state. He tries to help David by attempting to convince him to commit suicide before he ends up killing people and cursing them with his fate.

There are also the Cassi clues (which have been deleted off facebook) to consider. If I recall there were matches to Scream, FvJ, TWD, and Insidious. Oh yeah... AWiL too.

Run rabbit run is straight out of house of a 1000 corpses, proved to be popular in Hollywood. I still think neverland is a urban legends, sandman house but that might be me

Keep in mind the odd numbers are houses and even numbers scarezones.

In addition, Doc's odd numbered clues were the houses while his even numbers were the scarezones and 'other' things.

Therefore, Bosom Buddies is FvJ

I Am Who I Am is most likely Insidious (Insidious 2 had a cross dresser and The Further is a world unto itself)

I Don't Know How to Love Him is most likely AWIL (Alex is shocked by David's change and is not sure how to deal with it)

I didn't realize that the odds/evens houses/scare zones was actually official. If true, that would mean that the post above could be very much possible. I just didn't like FvJ tied to Bosom Buddies (because they aren't).
So #4, "Come Look at the Freaks" would have to be the PsychoScareapy inmates scare zone, since the other 4 songs are clear matches to the rumor list. Maybe the fall festival was similar to Midway of the Bizarre?
#2 Never Never Land - Scary Tales
#6 Science Fiction / Double Feature - Black and white into color classics
#8 Old Friends - Icons
#10 Tradition! - Halloween origins

Ok well...
Now that we have the list (which may not be the list), any other thoughts as to what else "Blizzard" could be since it was 1 of the official code names?
The 2nd official code name "Party" almost certainly has to be the Alice in Wonderland house (tea party), which gives more credibility to the list we already have. However, for the sake of discussion, anyone have any more theories as to what else it could be besides that?

they said blizzard was an original concept so it's either winter related or a metophoric blizzard. Party im assuming is the 25 year throwback house so there you go

If they decided to go with a house based off of music, Blizzard could have been a match to Ozzy Osbourne, since his 1st solo album was Blizzard of Ozz. Of course, Hollywood already had a Black Sabbath house a couple years back.

I think the list may be accurate as of this moment. Who knows what kind of changes could happen between now and then?

Did House of 1000 Corpses not happen in Orlando? It totally should happen.

I say this every year, and I'll say it every consecutive year. Jimmy, is just a guy with a camera. I could go online and make videos every year as well, and I bet if I did it enough years people would start to believe what I'm saying as fact. When you're vague enough you can start to connect things together and claim you're factual. He releases these videos on April 1st for a reason. Grain of salt.
