Old news but according to twitter, treatments have been written. The picture also came with a covered up tagline, exciting times

So theoretically they must know the spaces to be used--and whether or not this will be a two-park event? Curious if that info leaks.

I think at this point they probably have a concept for the event and its location but as the veterans know this can change very late into the game. The one thing that no one seems to be talking about though is the addition of Sapphire Falls and how it will impact the growth of the event more than anything else. The increase in hotel rooms will force them to expand, and they will.

Perhaps this would be a good candidate for a house this year:

Maybe and I say maybe, but Tales From The Crypt could be the events theme this year. I know it doesn't seem like it, but since Universal has their eye on the past because of Jacks's appearance, it seems possible. Tales From The Crypt has been featured at the event way before Jack. HHN did do a full theme in 23, which was TWD. I say that they could pull it off. Either way, I think that Tales From The Crypt will be featured in the event somehow this year.

Universal only had their eye on the past with HHN 25 because it was the 25th year. It would be a safe bet to assume you will see a lot more newer features than repeats in the coming years.

I like the reflection on the past, but it loses it's appeal if it's repeated. Every five years seems about right, certainly not two years in a row. We don't want Jack to become the next Walking Dead after all. The new Tales from the Crypt sounded great though until it was revealed the Crypt Keeper wouldn't be a apart of it. I'm not sure why they would even bother doing the show, and I think HHN will not want to go that route either based on the whole Scream thing from last year.

I still think every 5 years is too much. It makes it predicable and less special. Should be every 10

Last year, Uni was way ahead of the game with what they wanted to do for 25. We should start hearing little bits soon though.

How exactly do you mean by that?

I wouldn't be surprised that we get some tidbits soon, either from HorrorNights themselves (Hollywood included) or from insiders; as I think this may be the year where we get some..fascinating IPs to look at.

Yeah it's only January, I don't expect anything real rumor based for atleasr a month or two. But I'm positive they have some kind of outline or IP list by now

What I mean by something that we have never seen before is like a new "attraction". For example, like a interactive scarezone, 3D scarezone, maybe a real roaming horde to where they can actually go where they want to. In the old days, they used to hide in trashcans and in the bathrooms, but now they would get sued for that. I think something fresh is going to come for the 26th.

Well according to Murdy his line up is locked in, which means Orlando is too.. However I can see contracts being written up and signed before anything goes further so what happen last yr doesnt happen again.

By March the event is pretty much 100% finalized.. Right now also they are writing up stories and doing some early concept art.. Later on in the month and next they will start designing stuff.. By March and April house floor plans and other stuff will be drawn up. So by May construction can start.

I'll be posting the Hollywood thread when the first codename comes up, which should be soon as John is finalizing the first treatment for one of the houses already.

Within Horror Nights for Hollywoods case, some of the codenames are for houses that are..dual-coasted and this year shouldn't be different.

Why do you think that Hollywood means the same thing in Orlando? It has always struck me that Orlando's lineup is very different from Hollywood.

If we are sharing any houses (Which is going to happen no matter what) they have to talk to the IP holders at the same time.

I dont seeing them stopping when it comes to sharing stuff for a while.. its been going on and off since the 1990s

The only thing we've "haven't seen" that has an outside shot of happening is an upcharge house. It's been planned the last couple of years, but the trigger wasn't pulled for whatever reason. They did "free roaming" hordes with the Legions who went as far as legal would allow. Zones are naturally "interactive" and Esquilito Muerto was basically a 3D zone. Universal isn't exactly known for "cutting-edge" haunt concepts.
