Nut house is way too low of capacity to absorb anything.

I rode the Nuthouse coaster for the first time in years Tuesday and when I got off, I said this: Donkey Kong Mine Coaster. The ride was built for two train operation with the extended brake run, so it is a matter of adding the transfer track and voila: you got a cheap and reliable B or C ticket ride to help absorb the heavy Nintendo crowds. If they keep the Donkey Kong license for a larger scale ride, the possibilities are endless to retheme the Nuthouse Coaster.

I figure the second train was not added back then because the old Hard Rock Cafe was in the way. Now that it is gone, Universal could easily modify the ride.

I mentioned this on Twitter, but I can't see a live action version of Pokémon being a good thing for the franchise. It's a concept that works way better as a cartoon, IMO

I think it will be TMNT levels of bad. Make a lot of money, but just downright bad.

This is the same Universal Creative who added a "low capacity" two train Vekoma Junior Coaster to Universal Studios Japan and a Mack Youngstar Coaster to Universal Studios Hollywood when they introduced their Harry Potter sections. If those coasters were so bad, why did they add them then? Universal Creative has the blessing of already having a coaster that could easily be modified, thus saving money that can be used elsewhere.

I am well aware Universal is not Disney. I will have the pleasure of riding Flying Dinosaur and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu VR Ride in two months at Universal Studios Japan and I am looking forward to it.

Your also talking about a Universal that closed what was considered "iconic" (I.E. Jaws) and demolished the entire land around it, including the ride; and inplace, is one of the best themed environments in the world.

When UC needs the space (and for Nintendo, it seems that way); we will see them go to major extents that can be somewhat seen as crazy at times. And considering that everything else around Nuthouse is on the chopping block in that area, you bet that its going not as a retheme, but as a full demolishment, to ensure that you give Nintendo of both America & Japan what you offered them.

The reason I don't see this happening is because Universal needs a family coaster badly, nut house is a kiddie coaster. That thing is going. Even Disney only has one kiddie coaster in all 4 parks. Universal only needs one too which is over in Hogsmeade.

I would never want a re theme of that ride. Bring on the new stuff.

A re theme of that ride is actually a horrible idea.

If there is a giant show building, it would be a nice touch to have some pixel art on the roof. We'd all lose our minds. I got the idea from this Roller Coaster Tycoon post.

And if I'm not mistaken, the coaster itself is a regular Vekoma factory model.

If memory serves me correctly, it's the mid size model and the Harry Potter coaster is the large size.

If they sell the ride, I'm sure they wouldn't struggle to find a buyer.

Out of interest, how would you theme it?

Krustyland is supposed to be some sleazy run down amusement park... you just let it rust and put it by the water and it fits right in.

Moving the Nuthouse Coaster to Springfield isn't a bad Idea. Not sure where you'd put it unless it's in the lagoon or above Krustyland itself.

Dang, I'm surprised I never thought of this. Moving the Nuthouse coaster into Krustland would be an amazing idea. It fits in well (just add some more rust) and allows a kiddie coaster to stay for the youngings.

They could probably have some fun with the theming like they do with K&K, too. How hard would it be to retheme/move something like Woody Woodpecker, would it be worth it?
