I can seee where people can think that lot is really small just looking at it from that pic.

Reedy Creek still governs the town, IIRC.

No, the town is not part of RCID any more so the residents can't vote on RCID issues or governance. Same thing with Golden Oak. The twelve houses in the RCID (6 in the city of Bay Lake and 6 in the city of Lake Buena Vista) are the only residents of the district and they are hand picked by Disney to make sure they keep control of everything. While the Celebration, Golden Oak and Little Lake Bryan plots are no longer part of the RCID, they are still controlled by corporations that are subsidiaries of Disney so they still control them.

Thanks! I hope they like fireworks!

What a weird place to live. I couldn't take it personally.

There are a lot of people who live in apartments actually much closer to MK. And when you've lived in a place for so long like that guy for 30 years, fireworks probably don't bother you anymore.

I recall once taking a right from the Contemporary and just leaving from that end of the parking lot. I was surprised at the number of houses and apartments right there boarding the MK.

I also recall how isolated Disney seemed to a 5 year old me back in '71.

I also recall some great nights of watching MK 's fireworks from farm land or from an Orange grove back before the area really exploded.

You don't have to be that close to hear the fireworks..

My Super Target has a pretty good view and randomly at night I'll hear the booms and be like "Eh...? Oh yeah it's 9pm."

I'm about 15-20 mins away in Winter Garden and I can see them from my house. Go down the street a bit to a lake and you can hear them too.

Well I said it more so to point out that even the biggest media presence in is left in the dark with Universal, which isn't a bad thing.

As much as we would love to know everything that's going on, I think it could ruin the surprises and overall experience of trying something new.

I very much agree. I truly hope there are no leaks to Universals future with the new land besides the obvious resorts.
