If they ever make a whole park of Harry Potter it would be interesting to see it built in the UK. Universal doesn't have a park out there yet anyway and they could go completely all out with it. Of course, everything would be a clone of what's already been built but what if it had certain kinds of additions as well? Like actual rooms to stay in at the Leaky Cauldron and Grimauld Place? An even better Hogwarts Express going from the London area to a heavily expanded Hogsmeade? The Great Hall and a much more fleshed out Hogwarts with rooms possibly there too? A small resort of just Harry Potter...

It would absolutely kill tourism interest in Universal Orlando from the locals of that resort though but just imagine it.

You know, as much as I understand this fear, after the awful mess that was Cursed Child, I can't help but feel much better about her writing the whole thing. As long as she stays on par with the original novel quality, I'll forgive some of the things that don't work well in a script. I'm really really hoping this makes up for the script.

Ironically, she didn't write HP&CC... she came up with the outline but it was written by the playwright.

I was aware of that but the fact remains that it's supposedly based on something she wrote, she helped guide it, and she approved it and made it part of the series officially. I really can't see her hand in any of it to be honest, the writing is really that bad in my opinion.

Could we see an simultaneous expansion at both parks? MOM at the studios, and dragons replacement? I know that might want to parcel things out for the revenue, but two new rides would definitely big a draw. It would help distribute crowds to both parks.

Wishful thinking I guess.

USF has Fallon and F&F under construction now with Nintendo starting relatively soon. I just don't see them starting another project over there unless it is a minor one.

If it was MoM at FFL then it would have minimal disruption but I don't know if the budget or the timing would work to do that right away. Plenty of new to bring in the guests for the next couple of years.

USF has projects opening 2017, early 2018 (delayed from 2017) and 2020. That makes it seem like the summer 2018 and 2019 projects would be over in IOA.

That's too much Harry Potter. I say build MoM and call it a day. Move on. There are tons if other properties worth investing in.

IOA attendance has almost doubled since the introduction of Harry Potter. If the opening of an occasional new Wizarding World attraction helps to keep that interest then it seems worthwhile.

If there was only going to be one more big expansion I say it should be the Forbidden Forest. Much more interesting than the MoM and it would be on land that's already part of HP so it's not taking away from anything else.

win-win

They just keep coming & coming & coming. And spend tons of money. A new major HP attraction every three or four years will keep the IP fresh, and producing the huge revenue that permits Universal to build other new attractions that don't have the attraction power of Potter.

I would say Nintendo and LotR have the attraction power of Potter. It's time for them to expand their horizons.

I think there comes a point where people begin to see things as overkill. I'm a massive Potter fan. My facebook profile picture is me in a Hufflepuff costume. But even I know that there comes a point where the audience resents the push.
I think either Forbidden Forest or the Ministry works, and if it's both, it's time to leave it alone at the very least till the third park, if not longer. I understand wanting to incorporate Fantastic Beasts and I think that's great in the next park but Harry Potter is pretty much perfect in the current set up.

They are. There's been & will be plenty of non Potter additions. In reality there's only been three new attractions that are Potter, FJ, Gringotts, HE. The other two, DC & Hippogriff were just reskins. But Potter is the catalyst that spikes the attendance increases. It generates the money that makes all the other new stuff feasible.

Also, the constant updates will show those whale IPs (I'm looking at you Tolkien estate) that they are willing to care of these lands. The profit is a huge help to the resort as a whole, but the quality of HP is what landed Nintendo.
