Maybe it's a good idea to say this, but perhaps you could've kept this on the DHS Overhaul thread?

Maybe @Brian G. could move the post to over there?

sorry for not looking at Th e other threads first bu t it'll be interesting to see whether they bring mor e Indy to DHS if Th E stunt show retires or if they keep it and transform Dinosaur into Indy at DAK not sure which one is more likely to happen. time will tell.

I honestly really wanna see a stronger Indy presence in the park. I'd love to see a whole mini-land with the centerpiece being an all new Indy ride with updated tech. I'd love to have Indiana Jones Adventure over here, but I feel like something exclusive would be even better. Kind of like how only Shanghai has that version of Pirates. It's all just wishful thinking of course. I'm cool with whatever makes the park better.

I would imagine Marvel is out; as Epcot seems to be getting Guardians. I would imagine SW get's another expansion; but I think you need to keep an eye out on Echo Lake/IJSS and the current Star Tours, as I would imagine that by the end of the decade; they won't be there.

Nothing is green lit and there are lots of competing concepts. First, PotC:BftST is the first ride tech in a long time that TDO has said, "Oooooo, I want that!". I have heard 2 different rumors about bringing that ride tech to WDW and both involve Indy.

The first rumor I heard was the boat ride replacing the stunt show and the area being rethemed to an Indy land that would include the Raging Spirits coaster from Japan replacing Star Tours. And Backlot Express becoming a Outpost themed QS and the area would include another "Indy" themed bar similar to The Hanger.

The second rumor I heard is Dinoland becomes South America with scattered animal exhibits. A new take on the IJA replacing Dinosaur. Raging Spirits replacing Dinorama. And the boat ride replacing Nemo. It is an Amazon River attraction with live animals at the beginning then enter the show building which is an adventure to Coronado: The Lost City of Gold. The Amazon River ride would not be an Indy ride. Restaurantasaurus becomes an Outpost QS. And of course a "Hanger" type bar, Jock wasn't mentioned, but it being the defacto headquarters of S.E.A. was. This South America land rumor even goes as far as to include an adventures club-esque hotel similar to the Star Wars thing.

If the Indy IP moves to DAK, and Star Tours is axed. That frees up huge chunk of land in DHS. Echo Lake, the Sounds Dangerous building, Star Tours, Backlot Express, and Indy. And that's where the plan ends. "Yeah, big chuck of land, great, and.....". No clue what they want to do with it. Not me, them. They don't have a plan for it yet. Not even any solid pitches.

TDO and Burbank actually like the DAK plan for multiple reasons.

1. Overlaying Dinosaur would be an extremely cost effective way to bring in a new E Ticket.

2. Dinosaurs GSAT are middle of the road. "Meh", "Too Scary", "What dinosaur ride?" Being the most common comments. Apparently a surprisingly large number of guests never even realize it's there.

3. They could do the South America land in phases. Redo the land with Indy, Raging Spirits, the animal exhibits, and Food/Beverage/Merch. Leaving the Nemo replacement until phase 2.

4. Frees up a lot of contiguous acreage in DHS.

This is one of the major things that irks me about this idea. Sure, it will be a new E ticket but they're removing one to make one. Animal Kingdom wouldn't really be that better off for having it.

Star Tours needs to go and they can just expand on the Indy area in DHS already. There are better ideas that can go into AK and all these rumours say to me is that Disney, even though they're adding new attractions is being dictated more by the bean counters than the creatives.

This...is something unique to see.

Fascinating details, and it makes me more curious of what's next for DAK now.

I prefer the first rumor by considerable distance over the second.

I absolutely love this. Giving great information without beating around the bush or looking for attention. Post of the year.

what about keep Dinosaur at DAK and bring that indiana Jones adventure newer version to DHS taking out sadly star tours perhaps, and the Indy stunt show. Bring a Indy boat ride to DHS since the park really doesn't have a water ride. but again how likely is the IJSS to close down in the next 2-3 years? or will the show most likely be updated?

If they are aiming to do what Disneyhead mentioned; perhaps we could look at the DAK expansion for 2021? Just a thought, but if they are really wanting to go in the favor of having every park get a major attraction for the 50th, South America for DAK alongside Brazil for Epcot would be great incentives for tourists from that region to come down.

I understand that. Is just a grey square on the map. Even when you know what you are looking for, is actually hard to find hidden around a back corner of Dinoland.

Both times we rode, all younger kids in the vehicle are heads down or held against parent's chest crying! We loved it though.

In my view is a fun intense large ride, without a proper entrance approach.

Either way, I would see it as a highly likely situation that it would be gone if they do the IJ river attraction at DHS. If IJ goes to DAK, then I would expect it to leave DHS regardless.

It costs a lot more money, uses audience participation, and that it is on wasted land that could be used for a large attraction.

that's the interesting part if Indy goes to animal kingdom what would replace the stunt show when it leaves? Another star wars attraction? and also would the track layout be expanded for dinosaur at DAK to make it a longer IJA ride? You can't picture both ride concepts at DAK and DHS right? It would be two attractions having the same ride system using EMVU's. I mean Disney and Universal do have same type of ride systems in the past it happens more with Disney than UNI I would assume.

Galaxy's Edge should have an expansion plot already in place if they do an expansion of the upcoming DHS land.

As for IJA to Dinosaur, I would imagine they couldn't do much due to the showbuilding's infrastructure. Re-theme it, yes; and I would imagine the queue would be where all of the major changes would occur.

As for the EMV system, I believe that the manufacturer responsible for it has stopped making that type of a ride system, so it would be doubtful.

The closest thing to perhaps something newer is like Test Track at Epcot or Radiator Springs Racers in California. But even those don't have the motion base of what is used for Indiana Jones Adventure at DL in Cali and TDS (and Dinosaur at DAK).
