Want to see a good maze with no black walls? That'll be $600.

Um....why not invest in making the mazes better?

Didn't Orlando have RIP last year though, that included unlimited access to Universal Express for everything; alongside the special dinner and escort?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't USO HHN have a short VR experience a while back?

You are correct. They had a VR Experience in 2016 called the Repository.

If it’s possible to have a maze based off The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina the facade could be the Spellman Mortuary or a recreation of the comic’s first issue cover kinda like what Orlando did with Asylum in Wonderland during HHN 25.

Probably not due to it being owned by Warner Bros.

Warner Television made the show while it was released exclusively on Netflix.

Even if they wanted to, they couldn't.

...that would only make sense, if he's been asked to test out some of the VR Patents that Universal Creative have been..quietly handling through the past few months.

But that begs the question, if they're cutting corners on budget; why would they go hog out on a VR-Esque experience?

Either it'd be that, perhaps it'd be on a different budget due to the tech..or someone's not being entirely clear about the year's budget.

What if they’re not cutting corners on a budget? What if they actually saw the crowds ST brought and are willing to invest more into HHN? That’s a big IF.

But if they think they can spend enough money on the event to stop the black walls and still do this, then why not. If the quality is still struggling and they do this anyway, then their priorities are in all the wrong places.

The reasons why I can see a budget increase..would pertain to three thoughts:

  • Alcohol Sales/RIP Sales: If the demand and output for both is beginning to rise, particular clients may be expecting more of a distinctive effort put in by Universal. While not likely to be the..prodominent reason, it would explain them wanting to invest more due to aspects such as RIP
  • Netflix & Quality Assurance: Most likely going forward, Orlando set a benchmark for the level of care and quality put into Stranger Things. And if Netflix/Universal want to continue to bring more for the event, this may be a scenario to where they require more to the budget.
  • Orlando: In a similar way to Quality Assurance and Netflix..but on a different level. Orlando last year..did things, and had an insane output on constant. This may be a play from Universal Park's & Resorts in general, to ensure that Hollywood, Osaka (they do have a HHN-Esque event of the sorts), and Singapore can all stand to improve to get close to Orlando's level of output & reception.
...That's more of my guess, if they do increase the budget.

Heres a concept if they decided to do VR, what if they attempt some kind of themed VR escape room of some kind, as we've seen similar things at ScareLA that required almost nothing in terms of space or furniture. I imagine if they wanted a little more draw for the RIP experience they could throw something like that in there, or even just as a regular even upcharge like Knotts and Orlando have.

Hey check this out:

Sounds like Murdy is getting a little more ambitious with the zones (FINALLY). With that and the upcharge VR experience rumored, you really think this sounds like a budget year?

To be honest at least at the moment it sounds like this year will be as ambitious if not more than last year. Hopefully the Universal higher ups don't mess with the funding.

If anything Chucky-Related would've happened, it would've been around the Chucky TV Project in the works with SYFY (But as we don't know WHEN the new series will be releasing, that's probably not happening until 2020) that Don Mancini is working on with most of the original vets of the series..
