I mean, there’s worse stuff than just that in some of the older cartoons. There was some straight up WW2 propaganda cartoons produced for awhile there.

Yep because theatre owners were on the verge of throwing away Disney contracts...(some chains were forced to show Penguins on their biggest screens last weekend or not get Avengers: Endgame per the distribution agreements they have with Disney) , they also won't have enough space once they add in all the Fox releases to the theatrical lineup

As good as Disney+ seems like it could be, I don't think I could give up Netflix. Between Stranger Things, Sabrina, Umbrella Academy, Bojack Horseman, F is for Family and countless standup specials (and the series finale of Orange is the New Black this year), they have a TON of great original content. And that's just stuff that i'm personally interested in. I'm sure there's stuff that I didn't list that others like.

Also (and very importantly), almost all of those that I rattled off are very different in tone than what I expect from Disney+. Sure things like The Mandalorian should be good serialized shows that are TV-14, but Iger has clearly stated that R (and presumably TV-MA) will be restricted to Hulu. So if I want something a little more edgy from a show, Netflix, HBO or Hulu is where i'm gonna have to go.

If it's a higher volume of the type of shorts that they put out on Youtube, then it should still be all very quality content. I'd argue that The Muppets work best in small doses in today's age.

Yeah, not timely, but it seems like these shows will have direct implications with what we see on the big screen if how they described WandaVision tying into Multiverse of Madness is any sign. Think of the Marvel Disney+ shows as TV versions of a comic mini-series in-between the big event comics.
