There was a really nice AP post show after the 4PM show today (Sept 14)

Deacon and Helen came out and talked to everyone about the show - well the Deacon did. He brought out the fire diver and some of the crew and explained (and showed) how he preps for the burn. Then they lit him on fire. Then he talked some more, giving info about the stunts and answered questions. Then they did the fire stunt from the forth level. Afterwards he stayed around and answered more questions and everyone watched the crew reset the plane.

This is a great ad for AP benefits lol.

Until it gets to Orlando I’ll likely never see the show, but this kind of talk with someone would be super cool.

Sounds like it was fun! Hopefully they do another one of these. The day and time it was at is difficult to accommodate for many.

I haven’t really paying attention lately but Waterworld is closed today. Are they doing weekends only or is it down for HHn.

I think this is still the best Waterworld performance I've ever seen, and I've seen this show probably more than 50 times (live) by now:

He was rushed to the hospital, so that's a good sign as it says his condition is "currently unknown"

But what a terrible situation. Hope and pray he recovers!

Sounds like it’s the fire burning Deacon. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

Can't remember but I think this is the first incident in a long time. This is a dangerous gig. Injuries are inevitable and the performers need to be qualified. I dare say it's a testament to Universal's safety concerns that the show ran over 25 years before its first and near-fatal accident.

The show is now listed as temporarily closed. I really really hope the performer is okay

I'm sure they need to fully investigate what happened before they can safely restart shows. Sending good energy to the performer, the cast, and crew.

I hope the actor is doing well but with this plus last year someone having an accident as well. Is this show going to be phased out soon because of its having now almost a yearly big accident?

I'm going to ask that we pump the brakes on any discussion about the attraction's future until we know more about what happened and the health status of the performer.

I was at this show yesterday. Definitely super sad and scary. Hope he's doing ok. It was the stunt double fire Deacon.

I’m sorry to hear that — I hope you/the audience/the other performers are doing okay after being there; obviously it’s too early to know anything but I am hoping that no news is good news so far.
