I've been to five HHN years, all on September nights in the past, I've never seen crowds like last night. Is there a local holiday or something else? The SZ were slammed and as @SeventyOne said, post show was chaos.
Going 3 more nights this week, will review after then but last night was an...
My first visit tonight in 4 years... Didn't realise I was that popular :bonk: but in all seriousness, didn't expect a sell out and having never experienced a sell out I'm really not sure what to expect! Thankfully express already purchased.
First day back on the boards in months, somehow...
Interesting... I can't do Sept this year due to work commitments so October is looking likely and I just don't think I can stomach paying a lot more for potentially less overall. Time will tell.
Look forward to seeing a trip report once you recover
Thank you @Joe and @SeventyOne , appreciate the responses!
Looking forward to the trip no matter what crowds are like, after 3 cancellations my feet are ready to not fail me ;)
Having never been to Mardi Gras before, does anyone know if Cinematic Celebration runs still?
Also, with crowds likely to be high on opening day do onsite guests get any sort of guaranteed entry if capacity happens? (does it even hit capacity?)
Sorry for the possibly stupid questions but...
When do Universal normally announce the concerts and/or provide further information on the event?
Coming across the pond for a twice cancelled trip, so trying out mardi gras for the first time. Never been that time of year either, any comments on crowd levels vs HHN? We're there Feb 4th to 11th.
Does anyone know when Sunday Brunch will start up again (or has it?!) at The Kitchen? Have wanted to do this in years past and I've got a full family trip planned in February so I'd love to take them all there.
Just a quick comment of appreciation to all that have posted photos and detailed reviews this year in this thread.
Being stuck over the pond and missing HHN this year hasn't been fun, so living the event vicariously through you all has helped somewhat!
Going by @Mad Dog 's post above, that's the last thing they should be doing. ;)
But agree that it does fill those international travellers with confidence, can't wait to get back to UOR next year so let's all keep it going this way!
I've rescheduled 8 days in Feb to Uni and taking extended family who've never been so really looking forward to it. Not a time of year I've been so it'll be interesting crowd level/weather wise.
As you say, it was just good to get back to some form of normal again
@Scott W. I've just joined the cancelled club. Bit gutted but not surprised. Damn this travel ban...
In positive news for someone, there's a room available at Royal Pacific now...
I am waiting for the same here still, totally get the relief part...
I have family in the UAE, might end up there once we get confirmation of cancellation. It will be great to see them but feeling a bit bummed on missing what looks like a cracker of a year of HHN.
The silence is deafening... Heard nothing. I did read online somewhere that Virgin, Tui and BA had all cancelled to Aug 31st. I had also noticed a lot of chat on speculation of Labor Day but it's just rumours I believe.
As for Edinburgh, yup, direct flights as of March 2022 twice a week to...
