I'm sure I'm beating a dead horse here.... but how come they don't show live sports on the jumbotrons? Are there plans to eventually put live sports on? Otherwise it is a huge waste and actually incredibly disappointing, as I'm sure you all realize. I just can't fathom NOT putting live sports...
The humor of Disaster was right up my alley. Christopher Walken had me dying every time, his delivery is so strange and I love it. Glad I got to experience it on its second to last day and I hope Furious is a worthy replacement to one of my favorite attractions.
Makes sense to me. Comcast has headquarters in Philly and there is a very popular location in the city. I can see it happening. Similar to Cowfish, where they take a relative unknown from another area and bring them in.
I'm a little upset that this Slinky ride isn't indoors with show scenes. Just an outdoor track with some props. I was expecting full Radiator Springs Racers dark-ride scenes, but it doesn't look like it.
Huge fan of Jimmy Fallon so I seem to be the only one excited. I can see why it's not the best replacement, but there will be many people who enjoy it.
To be fair, most bars charged admission for that PPV as it was seen as the fight of the century and everyone everywhere wanted to watch it. The demand for every other PPV is significantly lower.
It was said before, the restaurant would not make it through the year without airing content from other networks.
As an example, Xfinity Live is another Comcast venture into sports bars located in Philadelphia and they have TV's with sporting events from all networks (probably not PPV though).
I'm surprised the reaction hasn't been more positive towards this. As a recent college graduate and sports fan, this is exactly where my friends and I will be spending many of our nights.
There's a website of a company that's been posted here that takes credit for filming these scenes. It was most likely on their property/soundstages, I don't think it was in Orlando. But I could be wrong.
