Hi everyone, long time no speak ...or post?
Anyways, spoke to the developer and here's the gist ... Best to know that while the leak is true, it's in no way solid in terms of timeline any more. Covid upended a lot ... not just Skyplex, but all sorts of projects across the region.
Long story...
The big point are those words right there. That means they got Orange Co. to give them the OK to maybe have limited people on site whenever necessary, despite the next 2 week shutdown in the county.
I respect your opinion but two thoughts:
• Should a writer not get paid for their work?
• A big part of the info is clearly shared right there in the post without even needing to click. Is that not a sign of good faith?
Correct. Couple months back one of our reporters heard from a good source that two 750 room hotels were part of the plan. I speculate these are those two resorts. A third is still in play within the park I presume.
Hi that was my article. Your thoughts are on point as far as the codename. "SWO Penguin" was all they had and due to the location being near Empire, it seemed it could be related. Not as a replacement, but maybe another penguin-themed ride. Was merely and update on more activity at the park.
Hey folks, so our real estate reporter came across some interesting news while speaking to his "sources" — I don't know who they are, either, but I trust his vetting process — and he learned a bit on the Epic Universe hotels.
Specifically, it appears Universal's first portion of this includes...
Yeah I can agree with that. Nintendo + Hub area and then 4-5 shadowed areas "Coming soon ..."
It's a fair enough amount of information, but not giving away the farm on Day 1.
I would love for them to have a model, but I honestly think its just some images with the land as a backdrop. I see no reason for Universal having to reveal any lands outside of Nintendo. The simple news of confirmation of the park + hotels + CityWalk 2.0 is more than enough from a news...
Busy day ... But here's another BIG story Paywall link below, but here's some deets:
Two parcels of Stan Thomas' old land are up for sale now (22 acres and 34 acres) both fronting Universal Boulevard. One is across from the Eye and the other is east of the Hilton property on the south side of...
Hey everyone, so I talked to Dezer today and the chat was ... interesting. He's denying the violations (even tho the city provided me with the documents and noted he faces a $200/day fine) and he said he still plans to open the museum by Xmas.
Honestly, I think Dezer has so much money he could...
Surface lots on Universal's land doesn't make sense, IMO. Sure, they have a large mass of land, but it is nowhere limitless. A surface lot absorbs too much footprint. WDW most likely still has surface lots for multiple reasons:
They have an abundance of land and are not constrained yet to build...
I think I understand what you're saying. But a near 5,000-space garage is hardly anything new. Theme parks already have those.
I think I'm catching your drift. So if it were say "10,000 spaces" then that would make more sense its a garage?
I would be surprised to see Universal not build garages on that land from the start. Putting off building garages feels like the more bad move than waiting on them. The costs to build a lot, demolish it, build garages seems more than just building garages from the start. Filling those garages...
To support the theme park/parking believers, this does look like the area where parking booths widen and then narrow back up to allow entrance to a parking lot.
Hey guys! Never know if this goes here or the 4th park thread. But Universal appears to have filed plans for the roadway system around the Universal Boulevard land. Looks to have major interchanges and roundabouts to accommodate the heavy flow of traffic. As always, I link to the story (behind a...
