Love the new soundtrack, way more fun and catchier than whatever they played before. Grinchmas looks cute as it does every year but got those who's are hideous. I'll give uni an A, nicely done

The holiday parade was nice, worth a watch. Grinchmas was the best version of the show I've ever seen. Mannheim Steamroller put on a very nice show, but I do miss Holiday Village over at USF with the specialty food, drinks, and shopping.

They are mostly re-used from year to year. There are always a couple of new ones (just like with Mardi Gras). The parade is awesome, especially if you sign up to be a balloon handler!

If I ever make it down to Orlando for the holidays, I'd love to be a balloon handler. Sure, the real Macy's parade is like 30 minutes away from me but pretty sure that's 34th street Macy's employees only...and I wouldn't want to be in that parade anyway. Too long! Pretty cool to participate in Universal's.

Some guests, some team members.

During the afternoon before the parade, team members are out recruiting guests to be on the balloons.

Yep, you just sign up and they train you and give you the coveralls to wear for the parade. They put a couple of TMs on each balloon along with a captain who is an expert on balloon handling and in charge and they teach you how to do it in just a few minutes. It's a LOT of fun to do.

I know 2 people who have handled in the parade in NYC, both work(ed) for Universal as well. You have to either work for Macy's or be sponsored by a Macy's employee. It's probably just as easy to break in as a Universal TM as it is to live 15 minutes from the parade.
