Wellll I tried to watch WandaVision and ended up falling asleep (we watch tv late after kiddos go to bed). It didn’t really interest me to be honest. So I never finished the series. Then I saw this series about witches and I’m like heck yeah cuz it’s Halloween season. After the first episode , which I loved and was hooked my hub goes you know this is connected to WandaVision/MCU. I’m like how? He explains it to me and I’m considering watching WV. I really do love the cast, costumes, and set design.

there's so much magic stuff and talks about other characters ( I won't spoil it) and so much build up and build up and build up, they better show the character they keep mentioning.

I wanna see something big since they built it up so much. they need to reach a big ending. their journey needs a big ending.

I actually don’t think it HAS been built up. No one remaining on the roads wants that character to reappear. And that’s the whole purpose of the Witch’s road. It’s not a motivation. Frankly, this show has done a spectacular job of leaving the stakes incredibly low and the story focused. That focus is what the MCU has been lacking. If anything, the biggest and most “necessary” reveal would be…

Mephisto.

We had a new (potentially major) character revealed in the last episode. Agatha regaining her powers by itself could dramatically impact the MCU as a villain or wildcard for any of the teams being constituted in the next couple of years.

I don't understand what Marvel is doing with this...Wife and I enjoyed the show. Thought it ended weird, but captivating enough to say this is going to be continued. The only way it makes sense is if they carry it on through another character...but overall...this entire Wandavision legacy has been wildly frustrating and poorly executed/followed up on - especially considering how good Wandavision was.

wandavision legacy poorly executed,

well it reminds me on how Sam Raimi never fully watched Wandavision when making doctor strange 2. doctor strange 2 turned out fine, but I couldn't believe it when he said that.

I think someone else from Doctor strange 2 also said the same? one of the other writers?
I think I remember reading that....it's just weird, you're making an anticipated sequel to a well received show and you don't bother to see all the episodes, they weren't that long or complicated,

so to see Agatha not going forward, I'm reading what Jac Schaeffer said, and she said she never does sequels or second seasons and that it was too much writing and that she prefers one-offs, which also seems that Disney didn't have a strong path for Agatha if they never even planned the second season or anything.

Agatha and wandavision could still continue, but seems like poor planning.

It really does seem like they've lost the central cohesion that gave us Endgame so every series and movie after has been doing their own thing yet still trying to convince the audience there's a specific plot with purpose threaded through all of it; it's not there or anywhere to be found.

It's a shame because there were some things that were great ideas but the inability to carry them through beyond the series hurts (and straight up ignoring the series you're making a movie sequel for is a strange move—pun not intended).

Poor decision-making hiring people not inclined to do sequels for a cinematic brand that is full of them.

Get someone else. I understand they are a huge part of the success but there are so many talented visionary directors. Just make sure they actually watch the previous series before making the new one.

I mean… the way the season ended… did anyone really expect a season two? It’s a remarkably pact story. Same as Wandavision.

I assume the Vision series will, to a degree, fill the “Wandavision Season 3” hole the same way Agatha sufficed in the “Wandavision season 2” hole.

A Wiccan show would fill the “Agatha Season 2” hole.

but did it end that way because of how the show director doesn't like sequels? but then Disney will always want sequels? which shoes the terrible planning

Well… it’s comics accurate.

Agatha dies and her ghost serves as a mentor to Wanda in the comics.

Generally I think it points to an issue where the continuation of a story comes from a completely new series each time. It starts to become a guessing game as to whether the new series is a direct continuation of a previous show or a spin-off where it doesn't heavily rely on the previous entry to follow the current iteration—which is fine up to a point, but it makes investing in a particular character or story harder to follow (along with new art direction etc).

It's obviously made worse when there's decisions to simply ignore what came before it and just do their own thing.

I really liked what they did with which world building in the show. That’s mainly what I wanted more of. It’s just annoying that will probably be it other than small cameos.
