That actually brings up another major failing. In seeking to create a land that unifies all the disparate aesthetics of the Marvel movies, they've missed out on replicating some of it's most iconic locations. Where is Asgard, the Sanctum Sanctorum (which is practically made for projection mapping), Wakanda, or the Quantumn Realm?
This is probably why Guardians works. It wasn't beholden to the aesthetic of the land. It could replicate the aesthetic of the film without fear of thematic inconsistency. I suppose in another timeline, Disney could have leveraged the portals or multiverse concepts to create an Avengers land where you are easily transported to disparate locations.
