The vibe I’m getting from this movie is that they’re going to throw everything and the kitchen sink at the wall and see what sticks. I hope I’m wrong but with all the decisions Marvel has been making lately, I don’t have a lot of confidence this is going to be great. I’m afraid it’s going to undo what made Infinity War and Endgame great.

The one hope I have is that it's the same directors that made those satisying endings to these characters in Endgame so I doubt they want to completely bastardize that without having some resemblance of a decent story reason to bring them back. Of course we all know the biggest reason why this is all happening... $$$

Either it's intentional misdirection, or it might be a smaller-scale movie than some might have been anticipating (with SECRET WARS being the bigger event).

IF it's an accurate reflection of the cast, I think we can already start to see the contours of the plot...

A multiversal incursion (likely investigated by Doctor Strange) results in the Fantastic Four and their Doctor Doom entering the main MCU, and Sam Wilson Cap has to scramble to put together a ragtag Avengers team mostly comprised of whoever survives THUNDERBOLTS, the FF, and Strange (and a reformed Wanda?) to thwart Doom.

It's risky, though. Leaning very heavily on RDJ to generate the big star/character power. No Spider-Man and Star-Lord is the biggest surprise (because Spidey is the most popular Marvel character and Chris Pratt is one of the more popular MCU actors to the average audience).

So that earlier cast breakdown wasn't correct.

I think it's a big mistake (for box office and general star power) to not have Strange on the Avengers team in DOOMSDAY. But then again, I think Marvel's made plenty of mistakes in the last five years!

Maybe the whole plan is for DOOMSDAY to feature the Avengers "B" team that gets outmatched, necessitating more of the heavy hitters to show up for SECRET WARS... but I don't know that Marvel would set-up one Avengers team just to explicitly get the audience primed for the "better" team that they really want to see.

Definitely confusing. If the whole idea is that RDJ-Doom is another universe, how do they do that without using Strange? He's been the vehicle for that storyline. I guess they could use Antman or America Chavez, but it's strange not to include strange.

Those were doctor strange's portals though. I guess they can use Wong to open them, but it seems a cheap cop out if thats the case.

The Avengers deserve to lose, they have no team...we have not seem them work together at all since End Game

I know its the writers but...come on they learned nothing from Infinity war? So all the heroes band together and win and then just peace out...they never talk? They let Wanda do whatever she wanted, they let cap's shield go to the an government agent, Wankanda got no back up, no one cares about the portal in New York during Spiderman and so on

Like just insane they are this disorganized after Thanos
