Universal could just be like every other major theme park and have maps ready for anyone to take when they enter the park.

It's crazy, I know.

I think Disney might be the last few parks to do it?

Universal, SeaWorld/Busch, Cedar Fair/Six Flags don't anymore (unsure if it's a park by park basis tho).

I think many major European parks still do, as well. Can’t remember if it’s still commonplace in Japan.

Right....As I've said before, I hate when a company uses the 'green' excuse to do a cost cutting measure. Maps are a pro guest experience, and easier to use than the complicated app. But Universal chooses to go the cheap route, masquerading 'cheap' as a 'green' concern. Pure B.S. ....at least be honest, and don't say it's a 'green' purpose, which is what they said when they cancelled the maps.

I said major! ;)

But to be (slightly) more serious, I think Universal should be in a tier above those parks, and offering physical maps is one of the little touches that says "We're in the top tier."

Universal always wants to be looked at as an equal, at least, to WDW. Maps & showtimes are those guest quality enhancements that make you one of the big boys. Show you belong in the club Universal, and bring back the maps and showtimes. Look professional, not Six Flagish.

That's so absolutely wasteful. Printing all that paper for it to become trash. You didn't think this through. The world is moving on from wasteful paper and so should you. The app and numerous time board and several information kiosks available is more than enough quality enhancements than creating trash. Get with the times.

i would take the eco-driven message a lot more seriously if these parks were at all committed to removing single use plastics, disposable drink cups, plates, etc. at least the paper maps can, theoretically, be made from recycled material and can be relatively easily recycled themselves.

If some people want paper maps, give them paper maps. They pay enough for them. The real trash is people basing their whole lives peering into
a tiny screen instead of 'experiencing' life, and spending so much time playing with their phones that they become social rudeness icons. The 'green excuse' for maps is a money thing that has little effect on the environment.....and...the Universal app is not very good, or easy, or quick, when it comes to looking at attractions, show times etc. Looking at a map is easier and quicker.

Does this show typically run during the Holiday season?

I was wondering the same. The calendar shows it running at park close, but won’t that interfere with the Macy’s Parade?

I've never attended during the Holidays before this year, is the parade always at closing?

Macy's Parade typically runs at 5:30PM, while Cinesational is at park close. So even when the park closes early at 7PM, they have time for the parade floats to run through the route.
