Why has no one mentioned this game yet? Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 looks absolutely insane and I can't wait to get my hands on a copy. It is a JRPG that mixes final fantasy like turn based combat with quick time reaction events and looks like a masterpiece. The story sounds phenomenal and the graphics are also amazing the physical copies are already sold out and I have heard nothing but good things about this game. I think I know what game I'm voting for when GOTY comes around.

Based on what, exactly? I'm not trying to downplay the impact of what's happening here, but we're years away from next-gen, and there's no telling where we'll be economically by that point.

It's all Nintendo's fault since their console is so expensive and they also expect people to buy $80 games. I would not spend $80 for specific games let alone Mario Kart. I was hoping that Xbox and PlayStation would not follow Nintendo and be against what Nintendo is doing but sadly this is making it look like it wont be true.

I also don't like turn based combat but that is because it normally feels like I can not dodge the attacks of the enemies and bosses. This sounds great to be since I would need to do a quick time event to dodge the attacks of enemies instead of just getting hit my the attack and needing to heal myself and lose one of my character's turn.

Because do you really expect them to lower these prices if things calm down? We’ve gone a very long time since there were consoles that actually had real price drops and not just limited Black Friday deals (PS4/XBone). The top of the line current consoles are already over $700. They’re not going to price Next Gen in the same range. Maybe not exactly $1,000, but at the least they’re going to be $850 for the top versions in about 2 years when everyone is expecting them.

Nintendo announcing Mario Kart at $80 had no bearing on this especially when it hasn’t even released yet. Besides that I don’t think $450 for the console is too much considering what it can do. It’s right in line with PC handhelds of a similar scope and in some cases it’s even cheaper.

I mean, the way you're posing these questions leads me to believe that you don't have any real basis for these assumptions, just vibes. We're in a rapidly evolving and pretty unprecedented economic scenario. Raising prices for current gen consoles is basically unheard of. It's uncharted territory. We don't know what's next.

I’m basing it off of a general expectation of greed. This is part of why I'm happy I’m getting a Switch 2 at launch. Even though Nintendo didn’t increase the price for launch within that very same announcement of the new pre order date they specifically put in wording to cover them raising the price later. I’ll only change my mind on this if we actually see price drops on the PS5 Pro and the new pricing for Xboxes BEFORE Next Gen is announced. I am expecting Sony to raise prices though.

This looks amazing. The combat looks great and I also really love the boss mechanics. This does seem like elden ring was basically converted into a multiplayer roguelike version. I think it's honestly great that this could also be for people who had a hard time getting into elden ring.

I’ve never played it but I’d see what the hype is about. This is a 4K remaster of the Ultimate Edition that came out on Xbox One.

The 360 is the last Xbox console I owned and Gears games were my favorite exclusives. Not a big multiplayer guy i just played the story modes and i enjoyed them all.
