I’d buy a Steam Box if they released one. Release alongside the PS6 and make it just as capable then have the Steam Deck 2 be equal to the rumored PS handheld which is supposed to be around the PS5/Pro power wise.

Knew this day was coming eventually when Forza and Gears of War crossed over, but it's still weird to see. Halo CE is still the best Halo to me (I don't play multiplayer), is in my top 3 1st person shooters of all time and the sole reason I bought an OG Xbox. I haven't owned an Xbox since the 360 so I'm definitely looking forward to playing this again on PS5.

I’ve got both games waiting in my Steam Library. If Half-Life 3 gets announced I’m going to wait to play them on the GabeCube. As much as I like the Steam Deck I know if I get this console the Deck will end up ignored as a third wheel machine behind my Switch 2 and GabeCube. I already have a friend willing to buy it off me for not much less than I payed.

If I do not have a steam account and have never gamed on PC, could I purchase this machine and setup a steam account on it and run essentially any steam game on this machine like running a PC (with im assuming varying levels of performance since it isn't some overclocked PC with fancy liquid cooling and all that)?

Also, if I have a meta quest, which can (i think) connect to steam to play a larger library of VR games could I connect the quest to this machine in the same way?

(I am 33 years old and felt much older typing this)

This is like a box that can run stream games but also do much more if you look into it

Also if you are going to pick it up even later, watch Stream sales because your account would have all the games you buy even if you dont have a PC/device to play the games on

Red Dead Redemption already runs fantastically on Switch 1, so I'm excited to see it get some further improvements. Easily one of my all-time favorite games.
