Missed your post yesterday. Will try and answer today. . .

The metal lath is fastened over the moisture barrier to the sheathing. The lath is used to reinforce and secure the scratch coat to the sheathing. The scratch coat is applied to the lath and left rough to give the brick veneer a good surface to bond to. The veneer was most likely installed with type "N Masonry Cement".

This process is instead of install a full brick veneer wall. This process uses full bricks and would be spaced off the sheathing and secured with brick ties (metal straps) to the structure.

Not sure what N masonry cement is but I will look it up. Thanks Bob... I love people that know the process and materials! Still working on the why versus alternatives, but I believe I have it figured out. Total respect for the biz!

Seems that the brickwork is coming along much quicker than the shingles did. Looks like all bricks may be in place before the week is up!

I LOVE that they went the route of propaganda for this, Not only are the posters really cool and pretty, they also really set up the story for guests before they even step foot into the queue. This is more like it Universal!!!!! Keep on impressing me!!! :happy:

That was first said about a month ago when I posted the first pics of the mural frames from ParkRumors and Splatter made the observation that the leftmost frame was an odd shape:

I find it interesting we will soon know why that one furthest to the left, first one from left to right is in a unique shape compared to the other square ones.
