Still lots of plastic;

DHS bin as you enter RNRCoaster building, with the in-park plastic bottled water all over the floor

I mean, they were never going to remove the plastic bottles Coke or Dasani water comes in. That’s separate and something they honestly can’t really control.

They are removing the single-use plastics that are within their reasonable control. Universal is doing the same.

That explains the reusable mugs being used in the Today Cafe.

And likely the motivating factor behind removing the bowls in favor of either cones or paying extra for a souvenir bowl at Florean Fotescue.

Both companies can come away looking like the good guy for the environment by making this move away from single use plastics, while simultaneously profiting off of this very move. Lesser expense for the single-use items and still offering plenty of plastic items (at en extra charge) makes a move like this enticing.
