I don't recall ever seeing them do a deal like this at least in recent memory. Maybe they are testing to see if the locals have any interest. I think conceptually it's a good idea. Most people I know who no longer have passes primarily miss being able to go down there in the evening, so this seems to fill that void if you really wanted to go.

As with anything, your mileage may vary on if you think it's worth it or not. If the hours are midnight and 10 PM at each park, at least you're getting the maximum amount of evening hours possible. Not having some kind of discounted parking rate seems like an oversight, though.

If it's successful, they could theoretically drop it any time they see an attendance lull. Part of the appeal of the reservation process on the backend is they can determine what future park attendance looks like.

I don't see them doing a discounted parking rate for something like this, but it would definitely be helpful.

I remember when I was in high school in the late 80's, Knott's had an after 4pm ticket that I believe was $20.

They used to, but I haven't seen that offer in years. If I had to guess, the popularity of their season passes now might be a reason they don't need to entice people in. Plus most of the time they close at 6 PM

I got tickets for my wife and I

The price of of two tickets with parking is 158, to go all day it would be vs the 338 dollars if we went full day. We are going on a Tuesday so weekdays you are getting "less" of a discount then a weekend day it would be 408 on many of the Sundays for a full day

But we are happy to be able to come back and see Paint the night again and even seeing Pirates after its refresh. I'm interested to see if the crowds on rides are going to be much worst on these nights and will report back how many rides and shows I'm about to fit in 5 hours

The First two Sundays are now sold out for both parks (on the night time tickets)

All Sundays are Sold out for Disneyland

Will be interesting to see if the weekdays sell out or not

I know some of the upgrades are different but mostly I can't remember the last time they added some people liked..... Red was the last thing added, were people a fan of that?

I don't think too many outside I guess the general public wanted the Pirates movies upgrades to the ride as well (thank god the dark tunnel is back and mo more mist screen)

So Pirates basically has been updated and most the time, I don't think most are too positive on it...I think maybe most don't mind the Mirror Pirates that transitions from a skeleton to a pirate near the end of the cave but most the other changes I listed also weren't universally loved and Disney didn't go much

I think if we get lucky they tune down the sound effects

The little skeletons added to end of the ride at the 90s were pretty cool.

Seems like all the bullying and backlash worked and the animatronic has been redone into a static skeleton figure of sorts!

Probably more likely the projection broke and the figure is in B mode.

I'd find it hard to believe Disney would cave to backlash so quickly.

Disneyland is having a new Anaheim Resident Ticket, maybe they are super limited because no idea why these aren't CA tickets but anyway good deal and wish I could get one because I would for sure come back with these prices

Disneyland food is going up about 8ish percent per item that are increasing but remember everyone even with that, they can't pay people a livable wage

Quick-service dishes saw the biggest price hikes. The highest increase was for the Bean & Cheese Burrito on the kids’ menu at Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante, which went from $8.99 to $12.99.

I was planning a trip to Los Angeles and was considering going to DLR for a few days. It's hard though to see the value any longer with going because of the fact that costs continue to go up. I view DLR as a luxury vacation now and it now has to compete with the likes of going to Japan or Ireland or the UK. It has to compete with the likes of a 5-star resort that is catering to my needs and pampering me or an all-inclusive resort that takes care of my food and activities, etc.

If the experience with going to DLR matched going to a 5-star resort, it would be easier to accept. Except... it doesn't feel like a 5-star resort. It's been documented over and over again about how their have been reductions across the board, how little things have simply vanished over time, and it's really disappointing. Now to increase prices on F&B products by ~8.5%? Oof.

Laissez-faire runs amuck......Mickey has been replaced as the mascot by Uncle Scrooge McDuck.............................One of the many reasons I spend more vacations at Universal Orlando than WDW in our case. There's ways to balance a Universal vacation cost with decent priced AP's for out of staters and the excellent AP discounts on the already less expensive than Disney on site hotels. While Universal certainly has high costs, if you know what you're doing, you can lower them to an acceptable level. You really can't stay onsite at Disney as an out of state tourist and do that.
