It was finally confirmed, after multiple years of waiting; that Downton Abbey will be developed to a Movie-Format.

'Downton Abbey' Movie Officially Happening | Hollywood Reporter

The film will be made with Focus Features and Carnival Films, as the original cast returns for shooting to begin later this summer.

Brian Percival will direct, as Julian Fellowes will be writing, as several producers from the TV series will return.

The film has no release date as of yet.

I really liked the show but I feel like they completely wrapped up all the storylines in the final season. I’m not sure what there’s left to tell?
