I mean one character from a "movie" that will be in a house with several other "movies" isn't really a theme for the entire event. No other house has had that vibe.
Doesn't matter. It's still merch that can be linked to something. The other houses have their own merch, and as I said, the Mohawk skull is still present on the "preview IP" shirts.

Not everything has to be related. Besides, that's like saying last year's "see you in the fog" shirts didn't match the event. Haunt events use fog. The monsters see you in said fog.

Just enjoy variety. They could just go back to bare minimum merch like the old days.

I'm not even sure what your point is here. Izzy was saying "punk rock" is not the theme of the event. It's not.

Do we know if the two personalities will be portrayed by two separate actresses or just one? I feel like we'll get two, but it'd be neat to see some special effects makeup to sell two faces on one body.

or, even better, they should just tie two actresses together at the ankle like they're in a three legged race

My friend has a theory that it'll be two actresses, with one for each cast, so Sinister for Cast A, Surreal for Cast B (or vice versa).

I like the idea of "choosing a path" after the zone.

But they're gonna be mad when I go straight, but cut right onto Sunset Blvd and enter Demon Queens from the other side.

My guess is SURR3AL/SINIST3R will be where the Pumpkin Lord was in 2022, interacting with guests and "damning them" to a path.

Universal should be embarrassed to call this zone.

Completely inexcusable to label this as a scare zone. It shouldn’t be that difficult to pull something here, even last minute with the creativity of the design team.

Avoiding doing any final reviews/judgements on the rest of the event, but this is just embarrassing.
last year was kinda nice because the actors made it nice. but yeah they shouldn't call it a zone. it should just be counted as part of the zone next to it. they should just extended demon queens costume and decorations wise to include that entrance stuff

This is effectively a glorified horde. I don't think I've noticed a single set or any theming at all. It's just the minimalistically costumed chainsaw Scareactors and an unthemed truss with the classic HHN banner on it. Really big missed opportunity here. I agree, this is barely a zone at all.

Last year had the detailed coach where Oddfellow performed and the decor with the circus trunks at least. No theming this time around

Yeah, even if it wasn't a ton, what was there was really intricately detailed and purposeful. Having creatures from all of the different zones also helped the identity of Oddfellow as the person pulling the strings across all of the different zones. The Oddfellow show's were also more consistent, similar to the Pumpkin Lord placement during 31. It was a small but solid zone last year imo.

I just don't really see how Chainsaws can be Surreal / Psychological horror in any way, no matter how many blue robes you drape the performer in. Just feels kinda uncreative and logistical this year.
