Epic Universe Expansion Speculation

Got a completely unprecedented question (and if mods feel this is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too early to ask, completely understandable and feel free to delete lol):

In the faraway future, what attraction do we think could potentially be first on the chopping block for a replacement? Again, if this is too nefarious/unprecedented, feel free to delete, I thought it'd just be a simultaneously funny and interesting thought.

As @moth says--it's too early to think on it and I imagine if it does it'll be for a ride that doesn't have great GSAT scores and rankings down the road; and that if it is removed, then it might better affect the land in the process.

tbh it’s a fun bit — one of those things that takes a lot of guesswork and can lead to a super wrong and bad take.

I previously said a few months ago that Monsters would be the first ride to get changed because of the scare-factor. It’s sounding like I was very wrong about that!

Here's for a different type of speculation. . .

I think the lost continent would have been a PERFECT portal for Epic! Imagine how fleshed out it could have been if they built off what they originally created.

That was one of the last entry ways for construction as the park was wrapping up, so it's one of the last areas getting fixed up now. Just two months ago, there weren't even trees planted in the area.

It was my understanding that Potter will be first to get an expansion.

That doesn’t mean Nintendo isn’t a priority. I’m sure it’s also on the list. They both sell tons of merch.

Legend of Zelda makes sense at Epic because Hyrule Castle would make for a better weenie so it's not competing with Hogwarts or being repetitive by having two tall castles in one park.

This would be the ideal castle because it's mainly tall with a bunch of spires.

It can house the queue to the main Zelda ride.
Have indoor hallways that play Hyrule Castle music, and the further in you get the more dark the castle looks and Ganon's Castle music starts to play more and more.

Then they could add in Death Mountain. DisneySea in Tokyo did a fantastic replica of a mountain for their park.
It can include a Minecraft coaster through the Goron Mines and City. It can be half indoor, and half outside like Thunder Mountain at Disney.


And lastly, they could have the Great Deku Tree. A more kids themed area, like a small coaster and maze area modeled like lost woods.

Great work and neat concept. Interesting to think that Zelda may not go to IOA because it might compete too heavily with Hogsmeade.

But if Zelda goes to Epic, I think Zelda goes to the other expansion pad next to the current SNW. 20 acres for Zelda might be more than Universal will be willing to dedicate to the IP.

It's literally half of Hogsmeade. I'm really hoping they keep all of the characters & live entertainers there, as it at least makes it feel like there's more in the land.

Same with Burning Blade, it's a surprisingly small space. I'm fine with it now since Monsters is a fantastic ride, but it certainly needs an expansion more than the other lands.

The monsters work the best in highly themed environments and story elements, wasting the expansion pad on a thrill ride is not the right choice IMO. Either a Creature boat ride or some sort of special effect driven show.
