Saw this on Facebook and figured I would post the link here, shows backstage pictures, nice but doesn't give away a lot (pictures are from Disney themselves)

I have to agree that I think it looks really good. The trees in the E.T. are fake too, but also awesome.

It really looks great. I didn't renew my pass so I'll hit up a Not-So-Scary party to ride it.

That's a great idea. I may just do that myself.

I wonder if FP+ will work for Not-So-Scary and if I could link my magic band to a one day pass. Has anyone tried for Mickey's Christmas?

I think that it's OK that they are the same type of tee......but they should have been in varying sizes!

Looks good (as predicted). Here's hoping the ride is at least as decent as it looks in pictures...

I doubt FP+ would apply to hard ticket events. Paperless FPs went offline for them as well, no reason to spend the labor and hassle of using FP+. Besides, one of the perks of special events like that are the low crowds and lack of need for FPs at all.

I'm almost positive during MNSSHP this past year, those that were included in the (fairly limited) tests at the time were allowed to use FP+. MagicBand was used for your entry into the park for the event as well.

I read in the paper or online or somewhere in the last couple of days that opening has been pushed back from February to sometime in March.

And that would be a soft opening most likely... with a grand opening in what.. May?

Only if they want it to be that late. I would think they would want it to coincide with the debut of the new parade though, but who knows. The area is about 90% done with only a few things left to do. There's really no reason a Grand opening should push past March imo.

I am hearing that they are experiencing a technical issue that could possibly delay the opening.

Thats what they want us to think… A certain manufacturer had a sign off date, and its on schedule in terms of that.

For both Halloween and Christmas this past year you could link your hard ticket event to your RFID enabled ticket (be it card or magic band). So you could use the same physical ticket all day.

As far as FP+ no it was not open for the hard ticket events, and I don't think it ever will be. The idea is to make you feel like your one of a select few in the park, having to make reservations for meet and greets and rides kinda takes that away. And it's that illusion that your special that keeps people paying the extra $$

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping it wouldn't be available so that I wouldn't need a hotel room in order to go on 7 dwarves.

LOL.. I dont think this thing will be open before the end of the summer.... Disney is mindblowing with how much time they are taking to build this thing... Universal could basically build a LAND in the time/with the budget this thing is costing.... Im gonna stick with Aug/Sept opening.

There's no way they'd have THREE full Summer seasons of park guests peeking thru construction walls at this thing. This has to open this Spring.
