Here's a BUNCH of info, pics, and video of the new area

WDWMagic posted a rundown of FLE's many preview openings.

GUIDE - Fantasyland soft opening and preview schedule
The Fantasyland Enchanted Forest soft opened for the first time yesterday and we have received a lot of questions about what the plans are for openings going forward.

Soft-opening "dress-rehearsals" are held to fine tune elements of attractions, shows, guest flow and other operational details. Disney has typically initially carried these out in an unannounced way, aimed at starting the process without huge crowds which would defeat the object of a soft opening. Disney has therefore not announced anything relating to the openings, other than the start of the official guest previews, and of course, the grand opening.

Here is a look at all of the key dates that we know of, and remember, these can change at any time, and are not an official list.

Soft openings began October 12 2012, running from 10am to 6pm. It is expected, but not guaranteed, that these will continue for the remainder of this week from approx. 10am to 6pm.

Cast Member only previews are being held October 20, 21, 22, 23 24, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 31, November 1, 2. During this time, it is expected that only cast members will be able to enter, and it is unlikely that any regular parks guests will be admitted.

Annual Passholder previews are being held on Nov 3, Nov 10, Nov 11. As with the cast member previews, it is expected that regular park guests will not be admitted during these dates.

D23 member previews are being held on November 3 and November 4. It is expected that regular park guests will not be admitted during these dates.

DVC member previews are being held on November 4 and November 5. It is expected that regular park guests will not be admitted during these dates.

Officially announced previews for all guests begin on November 19 2012. During this time you can typically expect the land to be open to all guests, but since it is still in previews, it may close at any time.

The grand opening is December 6 2012, when the land is officially declared open and should operate as normal along with the rest of the park.

As you can see from those dates, there are gaps between some of those phases, and we have no information as to what will happen during that time. Disney may well choose to resume guest soft openings, or the area may be closed for additional work. With any soft openings or previews, there are absolutely no guarantees that it will open.

WDWMagic posted a great, single take walk through of the now open area: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z34EkQmZ0fE

WDWMagic also posted some great photo galleries...

PHOTOS - Take a tour through Belle's Village, Gaston's Tavern, Bonjour Village Gifts, and Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid

PHOTOS - A detailed look inside Bonjour Village Gifts in the new Fantasyland

@AtDisneyAgain and @attractions posted that Fastpass for Little Mermaid is already in operation with distribution set up at Philharmagic. (Previously, this was where Dumbo's Fastpass was distributed before the new yellow tent)

Inside the Magic's FLE photo update includes a video look at "Ariel's Grotto", her new meet and greet.

Also tucked away along the seaside, separate from Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid, is Ariel’s Grotto, a chance for guests to meet The Little Mermaid herself. It’s quite similar to the previous meet-and-greet of the same name that was once located in roughly the same area of the Magic Kingdom, but its theme has been greatly enhanced with far more detailed work. And guests will enjoy privacy while meeting with Ariel, one group at a time, engaging in conversation before taking pictures and getting autographs.

Could you put the pictures under spoiler tags? I haven't ridden the ride and don't want to see any images yet.

I do like the Gaston statue a lot better lit up at night.

The Brew mug is neat, but it just screams that there should be some sort of Root Beer in it. And Be Our Guest looks incredibly underwhelming there. Hopefully it looks better in person, but it doesn't look promising.....

I'm deff loving the theming but after that there isn't much for me to do here (I'm 20) which I expected since I'm not a toddler. Idk though it just seems like it's lacking something I can't put my finger on it. Oh and Be Our Guest's dining area looks very banquet-esque IMO, almost thought it was the same place I had my prom which isn't a good thing...lol

When I buy a stein I expect it to be filled with Applejuice :look: Oh and as for the castle, my wife who has zero theme park knowledge, and had no idea about the New Fantasyland until I told her once on the monorail (which broke down twice yesterday) says to me. Whats wrong with that castle...

The cups..... my thought is that if they put those on a shelf and tried to sell them for $5.50, nobody would buy them. $4.49 for the beverage only is the way to go.

I also thought nothing of Be Our Guest from the pictures..... stunning in person though (edit to add: doubt I'll ever eat there as the food seems a little ehhh, I just like a straightforward hamburger). Not sure about the logic behind placing the ordering kiosks in a line like that in the hallways though. The attractions may not be everyone's cup of tea (not mine tbh), but overall it's definitely an impressive addition for the target demographic.

The castle is my only gripe about the theming of the expansion. It looks so small and not proportionate at all. Forced perspective can only do so much.

Inside the Magic posted a video of Be Our Guest Restaurant's interior that gives a good sense of the layout. At 1:40, you can even see the "snow falling" effect in the ballroom's windows.

Any word on possible softs from Nov 12-18? Kinda hoping to see this, mostly just for the environment and themeing. Also curious to try the Brew of LeFou.......ew. Thanks everyone for the great pics and reports, though.

First thought is, that is a very expensive floor they put down. Other thought is what is that long bank of drapes on the far right side? It looks like a theater curtain right now. Anyone know why it is there?

Is it possible that the ballroom doubles as quick service during the day? I think I recall reading that a long time ago, but I could be wrong.

The quick service side is over there.... when you go in the front door, you go to the right to get to the quick service ordering area (which seemed cramped, but maybe will work in practice).

I was talking about more than just Be Our Guest! Whole expansion looks great. Just wish it had more new rides.
